Today's interview is with someone I've been talking to and picking on quite often for her deviousness around the wrestling ring.  She is the valet for all of 4GQ, Ms. Cherry Malone!

CF:  First question, how does Cherry Malone best represent Ogle and Pope counties?

CM:  Hey now...I don't have the blonde any more. I'm smarter now. Not falling for it.

CF:  Okay, please introduce yourself to the readers.

CM:  I am Cherry Malone. I am from New York, New York. I am currently the manager of members of 4GQ.

CF:  Now how did you get into the wrestling profession?

CM:  I was at a party for Discount [Gigolo]. Hadn't seen him in quite a while and he told me where he was now conducting his business.  New Midwest.  He invited me to a show much to my reluctance to tell you the truth.  Well I showed up, and had the time of my life.  I talked to Real World a short time afterwards about joining and in January of 2003 I became part of New Midwest.

CF:  Were you a fan of pro wrestling before going to your first NMW show?

CM:  No way.  I made fun of Discount actually.  Some of the other wrestlers were there.  I pointed and laughed and said it was white trash.  Went to the show thinking it was just going to be a joke, but I absolutely loved it.  I saw the first show and saw how much fun I had and others did and knew I had to join.

CF:  Really, so no WWE prior to this.

CM:  None.  Totally clueless.  Of course I knew who the Rock and Hulk Hogan and Mick Foley were, but I may have watched 1 or 2 WWE shows on TV growing up before NMW.

CF:  I've heard that you were into another particular sport prior to pro wrestling, what sports did you play?

CM:  All of them?  Ok.. at 4 I did gymnastics then at 5 decided to do figure skating.  Did that for 11 years. During that time I was playing volley ball for jr. high.  At 16, I quit skating and started playing soccer. I did that for my junior and senior years of High school. I had the opportunity to play soccer in college, but I didn't see eye to eye with my coach so I decided not to play.

CF:  Do you consider Tonya Harding to be a role model now that she became a professional boxer and you a pro wrestler?

CM:  Haha. No. Not a role model for me at least. You don't see me running around whacking people in the shins with clubs. That girl is just trying way too hard to stay in the spotlight.

CF:   Hmm...that's right, it's the guys you manage that are wielding the heavy weaponry, but we'll get to that later.

CM:  Watch yourself.

CF:  So you started with NMW in Jan. 2003 and you were brought in by the Overachiever Billy Morgan.

CM:  Yes. I started my training in January, and Billy Morgan chose me to be his valet in March I believe.

CF:  Let's see, Morgan just turned on his cousin Earl Grissom, and Billy was assembling his security team. Shortly thereafter you have been rather a magnet for various wrestlers every time you hop on the apron and actually played a role in Morgan winning the CI Title from EDS.

CM:   What can I say. Bring me on board and you're guaranteed to be a champion.

CF:  You received a Juvy Driver as a birthday present from EDS.

CM:  Yeah I sure did.  That was sweet of him wasn't it?

CF:  After that...couple months later I was surprised to see you enter the ring in a 35-man royal rumble. How did you get in the rumble?

CM:  Well I had been training for a while and Billy Morgan wasn't letting me get in the ring, wouldn't let me do anything but stand at ring side, so when he wasnt looking I grabbed a number to be in the Rumble. The president didn't stop me, so I was able to get in with out Billy Morgan's knowledge.

CF:  Was that how RON got in the rumble as well?

CM:  I'm not sure how Ron got in that. I think they made him go in there.

CF:  Alas, your official wrestling debut lasted all but a couple of seconds cause the guys hurled you out immediately (shame on them), then things went sour with Morgan, what happened with him and why did he start turning against you?

CM:  Well, he was mad that I joined the rumble, then some people threw me out on top of him and he SLAPPED me across the face! From that point on I decided that if he isn't going to treat me with respect then I wasn't going to do as good of a job as I usually do until he realized that I was important to him and maintaining his belt. Well he ended up getting attacked by Real World Jeremy and I just stepped out of the way. Well he got mad and slapped me AGAIN! I had it at that point so I slapped him back and kicked him where a guy shouldn't be kicked. I was done with him after that. No one gets away with treating me like that.

CF:  Morgan afterward, started shedding his security team down to nothing, now he's managed by PHD. You after splitting with Morgan got hooked up with "Alpha Male" Guy Smith.   From there, it was not long after that you got in the ring to wrestle again, this time in another rumble.  Looking back, how do you look at your experience in that Club 217 event?

CM:  At the Rumble at 217 I was told about 10 minutes before it that they wanted me in there. I thought I would be in there only a couple of minutes like that last time. I really surprised everyone and lasted quite a while. That was fun.

CF:  Actually scored one elimination on your own, El Pollo Loco though he was already knocked out on his feet from Smith's finisher.

CM:  But I still eliminated him. I was one of the people in there the longest.

CF:  After the rumble, short time thereafter in early March you had a regular match for the first time, it was you tagging with Guy Smith against Toga Steve and the Freshman.

CM:  Yeah, I sure did. Very interesting match to say the least.

CF:  I remember, you got Andy Kaufman'ed by Toga, but you were in primarily with the Freshman, and thus the first feud was born, though the match itself came to a screeching halt after a nasty chokeslam.

CM:  Yeah. That seriously scared the hell out of me! All my friends came to see the match. And it was over after like 5 minutes! At that point I had never seen some get knocked out and to have a front row seat to it. I was scared. I was very happy that he was ok. I was very worried about him.

CF:  Amazingly enough, after Smith chokeslammed Freshman, it was at the last show that the Freshman actually chokeslammed Smith in the melee after the cage match. But anyway, despite the concussion, the Freshman was in the ring at the end of March and you had your first singles match, which you won...with help.

CM:  What do you expect?! He was slamming my head into the turn buckles. Guy gave me help because he knew things weren't going fairly!

CF:  But the turnbuckle smash is a legal move.  I should backtrack a little, I'm not quite the fan of man vs. woman matches for moral reasons cause I don't like seeing girls get beat up by guys...but being that you were the only girl wrestler on the roster, how comfortable were you then fighting men?

CM:  But it is right to slam a girls face into one? NO!

CF:  I'll jeer them for it.

CM:  I was comfortable with wrestling a man. How could I not? Being the only female training. I had no choice.

CF:  Now there is one other girl who has made it up to the active roster, Ms. Rian Cruz. Initial impressions of her in the ring?

CM:  When she first started I couldn't make one. I was just happy that another female joined. Now that she's been here for a while all I'm going to say is she's got a hell of a punch.

CF:  It looks to be that you will be having the first ever women's match shortly with this gal, so far it's been you two fighting each other while the men are having a match.  Anything you want to say to Ms. Cruz ?

CM:  Watch your back. You think you're tough but you'll see soon that you messed with the wrong person.

CF:  One thing that I can't ignore, there is this so-called "Alpha Male Curse", where every valet Guy Smith has ever had vanished after one or two shows when they represented him at ringside. Hot Valet Jamie Homeier, Misty Matthews, Emily Darling, Perfect Specimen Bethany, and the one I call Witchy, Majorie Watson all fell victim to this curse. You were the only one who hasn't fallen to this curse, how have you survived the curse?

CM:  They keep saying stuff about the curse to me, I think what helped me break the curse is that I valeted for some one else before I valeted for him. A few of them quit for very legitimate reasons, but others just couldn't hack it and let too much stuff that was said get to them. Some of them just didn't have the strength that I do to let what people say just roll off my back.

CF:  Lets go to 4GQ, it seems to me bad guys flocks together in groups when they can't get their way and picked a fight with NMW administration cause all don't have belts and their lackey Witchy Watson finally got fired for abusing her power after being installed in a coup de tat to replace, current 4GQ Stan Sallinger. What is your beef with the NMW administration?

CM:  The NMW Administration is making it so only the ''good guys'' have belts. Guy Smith should have that belt. He is the best wrestler there. He is THE superstar. Devall's only thing he's trying to do as president is screw us over and that's why were fighting. To make things fair for everyone.

CF:   How many title shots has Smith had this year compared to the others?

CM:  He's only had a couple because Devall will say some lesser person is number one contender. Billy Morgan as champ? C'mon now! He's putting people that are below Guy ahead of him.

CF:    But surely for the fans interest they are not gonna have the same matches every month, which is what 4GQ seems to be wanting. And Billy Morgan, I KNOW you don't like him that much these days, but he was in the top five when he won a title shot.

CM:  But he wasn't the top. Guy was.

CF:   Right now, the Mississippi Madman is rated the #1 contender, so Guy Smith gets the title shot being #2.

CM:  That's the evil workings of our President.

CF:   How's that? That's MY computations!

CM:  He's holding Guy back!

CF:  How can you hold someone back if a person keeps winning matches? That's the beauty of my ranking list as the hard numbers decide who's #1 contender. And certain people have been in the top five but never got a crack at the title.

CM:  For example... A while ago.. Guy had a match against Toga Steve. Toga visibly kicked Guy in his nuts and the ref saw it and didn't DQ him. That should've been at automatic DQ. Well, Toga tried some bogus stuff again and I pulled the ref out and Guy won and Devall came out and said Toga was the winner! Guy should've won that match and you know it!

CF:  Pulling the ref out and attacking him should be an automatic DQ. Your man has gotten away with that one numerous times and it was WAY overdue that someone overturned an incorrect call.  *glares at James Welden*

CM:  But you saw Toga kick Guy in the nuts and have the ref watch it!  I was trying to make things fair for Guy.

CF:   Well we agree we should send all the referees back to school for remedial training for a lot of stuff they get wrong.

CM:  Yeah we do.

CF:  Guy Smith does indeed get the title shot against Scotty Cash next week. Guy Smith was champ the first time they fought and he walked out the champ. The last time they fought, 4GQ threw away the match and handed Cash a DQ victory. What will it be like this time now that Cash has the title?

CM:  Guy will leave with the belt. I have no doubt. Guy is walking out of that ring as a champion.

CF:  Mister Mister, defends their tag belts against the fraternity from my alma mater school Southern IL University Sigma Omega Beta...how is that gonna play out?

CM:  Do you really have to ask?  Mr. Mr. has what's rightfully theirs and they're going to keep the belts.  Simple as that.

CF:  All right, it's time to play the little game called word association, you ready?

CM:  As ready as I'll ever be.

CF:  John Cena.

CM:  Thug Hottie.

CF:  Triple H.

CM:  Huge Nose!

CF:  Stephiane McMahon.

CF:  Edge.

CM:  You're fired!

CF:  He's fired?  Why?

CM:  It's a joke.  A few people will get it.

CF:  Yeah I got it, how about Nidia?

CM:  Blind for a while.

CF:  John Bradshaw Layfield.

CM:  Closet Nazi.

CF:  Ohhhhhh..HA! Randy Orton.

CF:  "Overachiever" Billy Morgan.

CM:  Woman Abuser.

CF:  So when are you getting in the ring with him to teach him how to respect women?

CM:  I'll have the guys take care of my light work.

CF:  "Rather Charming" Brad Stephens.

CM:  Not all that Charming.

CF:  Cause he beat you in an exhibition match a month ago?

CM:  That has a little bit to do with it.

CF:  Rian Cruz.

CM:  She's got it comin'

CF:  Stephani King.

CM:  She's a hip kat.

CM:  Robbed LPC.

CF:  But he handcuffed himself to the middle rope, which shouldn't had been allowed in the first place, else lots of other people will try it.

CM:  No one told him he couldn't and no one else was smart enough to try that.

CF:  Eric Logan.

CM:  He lost the tag belts.

CF:  The Freshman Matt Boston.

CM:  CHOKESLAM!

CM:  Yah. You. Crimefighter.. all you do is tell me I cheat and that's false accusations man!

CF:   Uh huh...and you say you NEVER cheat and inflate people's win-loss records.

CM:  I am an angel and you know it!

CF:  You've been a dirty rotten cheater from the get-go you silly girl!

CM:  How do you figure?!

CF:  Every time you hop in the ring during a match, bad things happened to you.

CM:  Whatever!

CF:  My thanks to you, Wild Cherry for doing this interview the past couple of days.

CM:  Yah.  You're welcome.
