Today's interview is with a wrestler who competes with Capitol City Championship Wrestling and is also a radio personality on WQLZ's Morning Disaster show.  Call him Rage, call him Gavin Alexander, but do not mix the two together!  He wanted to do this interview after reading a previous one I did with Real World Jeremy, so I did this interview Friday.

CF:  I'll forego the how best does such-n-such represent certain counties in the state, so mystery guest please introduce yourself.

GA:  My name is Gavin Alexander From Atlantic City, NJ and I'm a wrestler for 3CW wrestling here in Springfield Il.

CF:  Now you seem to be a topic of conversation among many, besides your wrestling career you are known in Springfield for another type of career ?

GA:  Yes I am on the radio on WQLZ Ray Lytle's Morning Disaster and there I'm known as Rage.

CF:  And how long have you been doing that?

GA:  Since around May.

CF:  And how long have you been training to be a wrestler?

GA:  Since I was young...I have been in 2 backyard wrestling feds(which I never recomend) Trained at NMW and then after a little break I arrived at 3CW.

CF:  Let's go in chronological order here, tell us about your experience in backyard wrestling.

GA:  I wrestled for two different ones to where i had broke bones of myself and others and I recommend that if anyone wants to wrestle then go to a real company because it is just a glorified fight club.

CF:  And how did you find out there was a wrestling company in Springfield?

GA:  From the owners of G A W (which used to be Drive-Thru Red and Coop).

CF:  And after learning about NMW, you attended some shows then decided to try becoming a wrestler?

GA:  Actually I started training and was security at their shows while i was a trainee.

CF:  Who were your original trainers?

GA:  Real World Jeremy, Sage Ramsey, Toga, Michael Shard, Guy Smith and Jason Wells.

CF:  How do you see these guys for their performance as trainers?

GA:  I see some as awesome trainers and i see two as better workers than trainers.  Personal opinion of course.

CF:  You see two as better workers than trainers, what do you mean?

GA:  I felt two of them are better in ring performers than trainers behind the scenes.

CF:  Now I've heard various things about you and your relationship with NMW in previous interviews, then the falling out...can you tell us your side of the story ?

GA:  First of all let me get one thing out of the way.  Shard, Toga, Sage, And RWJ are the four trainers I respect for multi reasons but I want them to know I have nothing but the most respect for them.  Now to the falling out as it being called. Yes what RWJ said about having to do weight training is true. But he was not there the night I bumped for a insanely long time because one trainer said it needed to be done and then the other night I felt I was a human punching bag during something that they were doing.  Now the things that were not mentioned was that the reason I left NMW was the fact I had become addicted to painkillers and other drugs and I put myself into a drug rehab center.  And the other thing is that Kev G (who I was friends with at the time) was telling me one thing and come to find out he was telling NMW another thing and the two trainers I feel were trying to hurt me were Guy Smith and Jason Wells. Other people (whose names won't get mentioned ever) feel like i was becoming a target for Wells and Guy....I respected them til I was told that if I came back that I was a target so that made me lose all respect for both of them.

CF:  They actually called you a target? Anyone else know about this?

GA:  I never heard them call me a target other people feel like I was becoming one and at that point I feel like I was.  I read one thing that has bugged me...RWJ I NEVER SAID YOU IN ANYWAY TRIED TO HURT ME!!! I have nothing but the utmost respect for you, Sage, Toga and Shard...but Real World listen to this really well....It was the respect I have for you that brought me back to wrestling that got me off the path that I was on because you said to me "I have the faith in you in becoming a wrestler!"....besides my father's death the respect I have in you for having faith in me is the reason I made my comeback.

CF:  Back to why you were hooked on painkillers, you had been using them initially due to an injury ?

GA:  Yeah i had got hurt and i was told to take painkillers then I got addicted to them.  Back to the injury i was training to to front flip bumps i went to do one and I landed on my head went to the hospital got a shot of morphine and then was put on vicidan.

CF:  You damaged your neck?

GA:  I messed up the muscle in my neck.

CF:  So after your return from injury and rehab, you had the incident of being "nearly bumped to death", you left NMW and you decided to join up with 3CW or how did you get hooked up with them?

GA:  I cut all ties with NMW finally in December.  Then after going to rehab I joined up with 3CW in May and have been there since and it was Chuck Diamond who brought me there.

CF:  Now about the time you joined 3CW you also began your radio career at WQLZ?

GA:  Yeah.

CF:  Tell us a little about that, since I know nothing about the show you're on...

GA:  Ray Lytle's Morning Disaster is a show I cant describe but I can say one thing about it ...the fun never stops.

CF:  From what little I know, you do rage against the machine, have you beaten a machine yet?

GA:  I actually beat the elevator but cuz of script I never win.

CF:  Beat the elevator?  Like in a race to the top floor ?

GA:  Raced up and barely lost on the way down I won.

CF:  Your worst defeat against the machine thus far you'd say is what?

GA:  The phone was the worst.

CF:  The phone was the worst what happened there?

GA:  Oh yeah I ran back and forth relaying messages so long I puked.

CF:  I know that the Morning Disaster crew are big wrestling fans...what do they think about having an active wrestler among them?

GA:  They think its cool but they see me as a person not as a wrestler or radio personality just as a person, which is really cool of them.

CF:  Now you've made a big deal of keeping the wrestling character and the radio character separate and not crossing them together, wrestling fans and radio fans have seen you doing both so how do you keep them apart?

GA:  I just let people when its time to wrestle I'm Gavin and when its morning disaster time or time for a concert I'm Rage and if someone crosses the two I let them know about it.

CF:  You made your debut in the ring when ?

GA:  It was 3Cw's fourth show. I was a bodyguard for chuck diamond and he was facing Machine Gunn Tommy and I interfered by hitting Tommy with the X-Effect for chuck to gain the win.

CF:  Chuck Diamond needed your help to beat a 16-year old kid?

GA:  Yeah.  I was chuck's bodyguard til he started misusing me so I left his sorry ass but then he teamed up with Vampyre Kaval to win a triple threat casket match and now that I left Kaval for dead I still have business to deal with when it comes to Chuck.

CF:  What are your overall observations of 3CW thus far?

GA:  3Cw is a great fed with all the room in the world to grow into something big.

CF:  All right, it's time to play word association.

GA:  Go for it.

CF:  Ray Lytle.

GA:  Best in the radio business and a great boss to have.

CF:  Shawn Balient.

GA:  Boring.

CF:  Is that why when he fills in on WMAY for various hosts he gets all the WQLZ callers saying crude stuff?

GA:  Yes.

CF:  Jim Leach.

GA:  Don't care about.

CF:  Best artist thus far for 2004.

GA:  Seether and Lacuna Coil.

CF:  Best movie thus far for 2004.

GA:  Spiderman 2.

CF:  Rage's favorite food.

GA:  Rage's favorite food is Mexican food.  But my favorite food is Pasta with chunks of shrimp with cheese sauce.

CF:  Worst movie so far in 2004.

GA:  Any girly movies suck.  Shrek 2 sucked the worst.

CF:  Worst musician on radio thus far in 2004.

GA:  Any pop and rap musicians...if that's what you call them.

CF:  Okay, worst musician they play on WQLZ.

GA:  Worst musician is Damageplan but the Worst song is Korn's version of Camo's "Word Up".

CF:  "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

GA:  Has been.

CF:  You don't think he can make it as an actor?

GA:  No I Don't.  Have you ever watched Nash Bridges when he is on.....boring.

CF:  The Rock.

GA:  It would be nice to see him back.

CF:  Chris Benoit.

GA:  Best in the business hands down.

CF:  John Bradshaw Layfield.

GA:  Great heel but boring in ring.

CF:  Vince McMahon.

GA:  A business man's man.

CF:  Ronnie Vegas.

GA:  Who?

CF:  I think you know who, didn't you get into some skirmish with him and his fed during the state fair like I heard the morning disaster crew talk about on the radio?

GA:  Never got into a skirmish just a misunderstanding.  Now i remember who he is but I don't know much about to say s**t.

CF:  Nemesis/DarkCyde.

GA:  Great champion.

CF:  Chuck Diamond.

GA:  A dead man after misusing me.

CF:  Real World Jeremy.

GA:  Great worker and trainer.

CF:  "Alpha Male" Guy Smith.

GA:   A loud mouthed overrated Rock wanna-be.

CF:  Peter McDonald Sanders.

GA:  Funny lil man.

CF:  Jason Wells.

GA:  Will never respect him again.

CF:  Chip Conway.

GA:  Good person outside the ring and works his ass off in the ring.

CF:  "The Iron Chef" Leo Lagossi.

GA:  Best worker in 3CW.

CF:  Yet he's tagged with having that disastrous and embarrassing first ever 3CW match,
along with Ace Dorrity.

GA:  XXXX happens.

CF:  Drive Thru Red/Jaxson Pride.

GA:  Good worker and I'm proud of him.

CF:  Drive Thru Coop/JC Michaels.

GA:  Good worker and proud of him as well.

CF:  Worst wrestler in your eyes?

GA:  Sanity.

CF:  NMW.

GA:  Politics and Egos.  But I respect them.

CF:  CCCW.

GA:  3CW is where i made my home and I'm 3Cw all the way.

CF:  GAW.

GA:  New fed I'm damn proud of the owners and i hope they make it.

CF:  Enforcer Arn Anderson.

GA:  The reason I started wrestling besides my father.

CF:  Is there anyone you want to single out and start shooting on?

GA:  The only thing i have to say is to all who believed thank you and to all who didn't then F*** You!

CF:  Anything you wish to say about your upcoming match?

GA:  Billy Reno you wanted to take all the glory in our tag match well now I'm gonna kill ya. It's all about breaking necks and cashing checks.

CF:  Errr...what happened the last tag match?

GA:   I had Sam Stockwell pinned and he yelled about how he wanted to pin him so I let the lil bitch get his way.

Well Gavin had his match with Billy Reno that Saturday.  Gavin was already sporting a damaged leg, and it was not too pretty when he showed me how it looked Wednesday night.  He wrestled, and his leg got worse, and ended up being hospitalized.  I don't know the extent of the damage.
