The Rap Sheet - from the Crimefighter
Midwest Powerhouse Wrestling "The Grand Brawl"
2/7/2K4 - Bethalto, IL

They should change the name of the fed to Masked Powerhouse Wrestling...

Well it's been a very long time since I've attended an MPW show and for someone who cannot watch the promotion on television where it's aired in the St. Louis area and not in the Springfield area, it can get pretty confusing as to why everything is set the way it is. For instance, Mr. Bigg is now the MPW president. Mr. Bigg? The leader of Bigg Boyz International? Yep. Believe it or not, all of the people that were in his stable have broken away and are in different cliques. So Mr. Bigg, without anyone left to manage, the MPW Board decided to elect him as the new prez. And there's the matter of "The Legion". It started with one referee being attacked in the locker room, so in seeking his revenge, he recruits a group of disgruntled wrestlers who are mad at the MPW promoter for one reason or another and form an NWO-like army. By hook or by crook, various members grab the heavyweight title, the tag titles, and the hardcore titles.

The venue that's holding tonight's event was once a roller skating rink, converted into a Knights of Columbus hall. The ceiling is too low for anyone to do moves off the top rope (I told them to avoid those types of venues!) and it's BARE CONCRETE all around the ring, they didn't do the wrestlers any favors by not putting floor mats down to cushion the falls. The way the seating was set up, it's rows of tables and chairs instead of just chairs. Attendance looked to be about 100-125, could easily fit 500 or so if all the tables were removed. Traveling to the show was a bit hazardous, snow had been blowing and drifting much of the day with an unexpected additional inch of snowfall. I had taken pop along to the last show I attended, and he wished to attend this show with me as well so I obliged, besides various people keeping threatening to attack me cause aren't liking what I write.

Speaking of which, comments I made following the show on MPW's message board were deleted ONCE AGAIN by some webmaster who does not like any fan saying ANYTHING negative about the product, even if it was fair and accurate analysis. This is the fourth board I’ve been booted from cause someone had a personal problem with reviewing their material and a Hall of Shame may be in order to document the people who shouldn’t be allowed to moderate a message board. At the end of this rap sheet, I will list what was said, and how long it was up on that board before it got deleted.

Your ring announcer is Rod Jeremy. Your MPW president is...surprise surprise...Mr. Bigg. The referees are introduced, including Lucious Lee who got some boos. There are a number of new faces tonight, so I'm gonna have some difficulty keeping the names straight. Some man is running around in a silver mask, knew who I was, but I don't know who HE is...took me a good while to figure it out. I had thought this was supposed to be a TV taping with all the video cameras on the opposite side of the building, but they say it's not.

Jaden 5'5" 140lbs. St. Louis, MO vs. Trinity 5'4" 125lbs. Miami, FL - This Trinity is not "Trinity" Stephanie Finochio of Los Angeles and NWA TNA fame. There's a THIRD girl wrestling under the name Trinity from New York too. So in keeping it straight, it's Trinity from Miami. This is their 1,375,348th match (*smirk*) or so against each other, but the first one I've witnessed. These two gals have been wrestling each other many many times, cause they are the only two regular women wrestlers on the roster and wish they had other girls to wrestle. Mr. Bigg has the mike, he says cause there isn't an MPW women's title here due to there not being enough women wrestlers on the roster, the winner of this match gets to draw a card from a hat to get whatever prize that's written on it. Waistlock by Trinity, reversal, hammerlock Jaden, headlock Trinity, armdrag, legdrop, and stomps away. Trinity with a whip, drop toe hold, ties up the legs, front face lock. Jaden stands up, whip clothesline. Jaden stands on Trinity's hair and pulls her by the arms, slam, timid stomping, standing hair pull again. Irish whip, Trinity with the frankensteiner gets two. Jaden and Trinity reverse the pin repeatedly, until Jaden rakes her. Jaden slugs away, chop, whip splash in the corner, chop, snap mare, rear chinlock with the knee on the back. Trinity bails out, Jaden follows, fight on the floor, Jaden tries to whip her into the rail but crashes into it herself! Count gets up to NINE as Trinity pokes her head in the ring to break it. Toss in, Trinity with the camel clutch, lets it go and tries a suplex, it's blocked, Jaden with a pair of suplexes get two. Jaden walks around pouting, Trinity rolls her up for two. Slam Trinity, then the X Factor gets two. Spinning leg neckbreaker by Trinity finishes off Jaden for three!

WINNER: Trinity pin -> 7:25 mins. **

Trinity draws a card from the hat, and isn't happy with it. Trinity has won a lapdance from Mr. Bigg! Trinity sits in a chair while Mr. Bigg dances in front of her. Jaden gets in the ring and all three of them dance a bit before Trinity picks up the chair and whacks Jaden in the back with it. Nice display of sportsmanship there Trinity. Rod Jeremy points out that all the cards in the hat had lapdance written on them. The girls were moving a bit slowly during the whole match it seemed, but it was a decent opener.

Hollywood Stud 6'3" 265lbs. Hollywood, CA vs. "The Irish Nightmare" Devan Scott 6'3" 268lbs. Topeka, KS - Devan Scott keeps asking Stud when he's due, cause Stud has a bit of a gut on him. Lockup, shove. Lockup, another shove. Scott with an armdrag, hiptoss, slam. Stud bails. Scott slingshots him back in, LOW BLOW by Stud. Stud stands on his neck, uppercut, slugs away in the corner, chokes and stomps away in the ropes. Stud with a powerslam gets two. Stud throws him out to the concrete floor, slugs away outside, Scott with a clothesline on the floor, throws Stud into the rail, whacks him with a chair, chokes him on the rail. Devan goes for a suplex on the bare floor, it's blocked, Stud rams him into the apron then tosses him in. Stud slugs away, whip to the corner, splash misses. Scott locks in the iron claw put only gets two as a 400 pound man known as Gluttony waltzes his way to the ring and chokeslams Scott for the sports entertainment finish at 8:10. BLEH!

WINNER: "The Irish Nightmare" Devan Scott DQ -> 8:10 mins. ½*

Match wasn't that great, more of a brawl than wrestling, made worse by the cheap DQ. Referee was slow to call for the bell. Stud assists Gluttony in the stompaway, but gets in Gluttony's face for causing him to lose. The man once known as Mr. Insecurity runs his mouth on the mike about the title defense later tonight by Gluttony against another member of the Legion, "Envy" Christian Haze. Stud grabs the mike and demands that fat tub of lard be put on the line for me. Erebus tells him to leave, then says how the title match is gonna go down. My sign: "Legion = nWo Rip Off!"

MPW Hardcore Championship Handicap Match
(c)Sloth 6'3" 230lbs. Parts Unknown & (c)Pride 6'2" 250lbs. Parts Unknown w/ ex-referee Mr. "Still-Got-A-Great-Deal-Of-Insecurity" Erebus vs. "The Shooter" Curtis Payne 6'0" 238lbs. Washington, DC - Payne was formerly known as Agent C. Sloth is a man in a black jumpsuit with his entire head covered in white face paint. Pride is a man wearing a black mask and a flame shirt. If Sloth and Pride wrestled under any other names I don't know what they are. And there's a problem here, the hardcore title is a SINGLES belt, but this TAG TEAM is holding this SINGLES belt at the same time! That just doesn't wash. I'm aware there was a blowup over who was the legit hardcore champ a few months ago, whether it was Mr. Bigg or the Hollywood Stud, but these guys each have separate versions of the hardcore belt. They need to either have a playoff or convert the belts into a full-fledged hardcore tag team title, which I'm not aware of there being a hardcore tag title anywhere in the country. C with a double clothesline. Erebus is screaming at his men for one man embarrassing two. C with a tackle to the outside, Sloth is sent into the rail, Pride whipped into the post. Payne with a chairshot on Sloth, one for Pride, Erebus whacks Payne with a stick. The heels suplex C on the BARE floor! They pound away on the floor, toss in, Pride with a clothesline, elbow Sloth, legdrop by Pride, double-team whip clothesline. DDT on C by Pride! Chair is tossed in, misdirection and a Legion takes out his partner. Payne with a clothesline, takes out the masked man, wastes time, Pride up, BAM in the head, BAM on Sloth. Mr. Insecurity tries to distract, Payne with a suplex on Pride. C to the second rope, neckbreaker from the middle rope on Sloth. C with a kendo stick and whacks someone with it, catching the ceiling and shattering it to pieces. Kendo shot to the shoulder by C and whips him with it, cover gets two. The heels are up, Impaler DDT on a chair, one Legion guy tries covering but the other breaks it up and now they are arguing with each other about who's covering. Erebus screams like crazy at his guys while the Legion guys fight. DDT on the masked man, C with a caneshot. Payne goes outside, he goes after Mr. Insecurity! C got him by the jacket, Erebus the former hardcore champ himself gets beaten up with a stick. Someone shouts for Payne to whack the ref. Pride rushes C with a clothesline but gets taken out, Sloth gets a Rock Bottom. TWO MORE MASKED MEN run to the ring, it's Yingish Yang and Atari Tanaka! Yang green spews C! $%^(*&#$%*!!! The Legion set up C, one holds him up while the other clotheslines C from the second rope for the cheap win. Arrgh.

WINNERS and STILL CHAMPS: Sloth & Pride pin -> 9:30 mins. ½*

This was the second consecutive run-in tonight. Gee, what business did Yang have being out there in the first place? The Legion stomp Payne some more before looking for Erebus on the floor then carry him to the back. Yang comes back out here for his match. Hulk Hogan's music starts playing, what? And we have two masked wrestlers and two masked managers.

Yingish Yang ?'??" 285lbs. Tokyo, Japan w/ Atari Tanaka vs. Dick Byson 302lbs. Parts Unknown w/ "Howard Dean" - This Byson goes talking and posing like Hogan and says he'll kick Yang's butt. Yeah. And he's got Dickamania written on the t-shirt. Yang goes running around among the crowd. Mini Max goes making Hacksaw Jim Duggan imitations along with the Dean Scream. Yang's stalling like mad. Sheez come on. Mini Mask does Dean impersonations. Lockup, hip tosses by Byson, Yang bails out. Back in, test of strength, Yang with a punch, clothesline by Byson missed, Yang punches some more. Byson slugs away, whip and a boot. Yang leaves again, Byson follows, Yang posts Byson, rails him, chokes on the floor, then does a crossbody on the floor. Byson throws Yang into the stairs, toss in the ring, ten punch count in the corner, Yang shoves him off. Yang with a headbutt to the groin. Yang makes a wish and hits a double legdrop. Yang bends Byson over and hits a legdrop that doesn't drop Byson. Yang stomps at his knee, Yang to the second rope, crossbody gets two. Byson hulks up, Yang punches have no effect, whip big boot from Byson. Byson signals the LEG DROP OF DOOM, Atari Tanaka grabs Byson's leg, Yang tumbles out, Atari attacks Byson, Byson pulls his mask off...revealing a striped mask underneath. Byson goes after Yang, he spews the mist but gets the referee. Yang with a weak looking spinebuster, Atari takes off his jacket revealing a referee jersey then fast counts the pin for Yang. Oh my gosh. And Atari is the one known as "Referee X"??? Lots and lots of stalling, match just dragged on and on complete with another BS sports entertainment finish at 10:20. Wonder if Erebus will pull that stunt the next time one of his men has a cover but no referee around.

WINNER: Yingish Yang pin -> 10:20 mins. DUD

It's now "halftime". Howard Dean says he's gonna be the next president of the United States and pull three people from the crowd to play "Name That Tune". Ended up all three answered their tune correctly and got free tickets to the next show.

Tony Angel 5'11" 165lbs. Northcounty St. Louis, MO vs. "Lust" Uriah 6'2" 160lbs. Parts Unknown w/ Erebus - Finally we got a middleweight match, this should be good. Lust is the man formerly known as Agent U who dumped Agent C while holding the tag titles, he now holds the tag belts with Christian Haze. Slap by Uriah, and they slug away at each other. Whip reverse, takedown Angel. Shoveoff, shoulderblock by Tony, kick by Lust. Lust tosses Angel out to the floor, rams him in the rail, stomps away. Tony chops U back, Angel tries a suplex on the BARE concrete floor, it's blocked Uriah suplexes Angel instead! See, this is why they should put floor mats down. Lust with a butt dive to the floor, gets a kendo stick and whacks him. Toss in, legdrop by Lust gets two. Hammerlock around the head by Uriah, Tony turns it into a DDT. Front headlock by Tony, Lust slugs his away out of it, suplex attempt is turned into a reverse DDT that gets him two. Tony hits a move on Lust but I missed it cause Yingish Yang comes BACK OUT here and attacks Angel for ANOTHER sports entertainment finish at five minutes. WTF??? LLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEE!

NO CONTEST -> 5:10 mins. *

COME ON!!! That's the FOURTH run-in BS finish in a row! What the heck is with this crap tonight? I didn't come here to see a non-finish every match! And the certain people do not understand WHY I've been so negative about this show. BTW, Angel should had been credited with a DQ win. Yang RUINED the match that jerk. Here comes Dick Byson, he kicks Yang in the back. Here comes the Stud, spear to the gut on Byson. Here comes Curtis Payne, ROCK BOTTOM on Stud. Lust back in, shining wizard to the back on Payne's head! Everyone's cleared from the ring, Erebus is thrown back in the ring, DDT on Erebus, Byson with the legdrop. Yang and Stud jump in and there's a brawl before they're dispatched. Payne has the mike, he challenges the three thugs to a six-man survivor series match, with the last two in remaining in a flag match. Erebus accepts. More words are exchanged and the faces run the heels to the back.

Captain Crunchberry 179lbs.? Parts Unknown vs. Lore 200lbs. Parts Unknown - It's another pair of masked men! What's with all the masks tonight? Crunchberry looks to be 379 pounds to me. And where did they find these guys? Lore wears a purple and yellow mask, Crunchberry is wearing the red and white mask. And these are two newcomers with silly gimmicks. Lockup, armbar by Lore. Elbow, reversal by Crunch, hammerlock, reversal into a headlock by Lore, shoveoff, shoulderblock Lore. Sloppy hip toss by Crunch, armbar. Lore with an armbar, kick, elbow gets two. Wristlock by Lore, OK roll gets two. Crunch punches, chops, Lore chops back, whip clothesline gets two. Crunch with an eyepoke, side slam, leg drop gets two. Knee grinder on the arm, rope burn...yet the mask absorbs it all. Crunch twists the head, elbow, Lore hits back, one arm sidewalk slam gets two. Whip reverse splash in the corner by Crunch. The cereal guy locks in something like looks a bit like a crippler crossface, but instead he's pulling the right arm with both arms while scissoring the left arm with his legs and gets the submission. FINALLY a clean finish, but I'm feeling drug down by the turn of events from the previous matches and bored at this point.

WINNER: Captain Crunchberry submission -> 7:15 mins. ½*

Six-man Elimination Tag/Flag Match
Tony Angel 5'11" 165lbs. North County St. Louis, MO, "The Shooter" Curtis Payne 6'0" 238lbs. Washington, DC, Dick Byson 302lbs. Parts Unknown w/ "Howard Dean" vs. "Lust" Uriah 6'2" 160lbs. Parts Unknown w/ Erebus, Yingish Yang ?'??" 285lbs. Tokyo, Japan w/ Atari Tanaka, Hollywood Stud 6'3" 265lbs. Hollywood, CA - I hand off my little sign "Legion = nWo Rip Off" to someone in the front row, Lust FINALLY sees it, takes it and rips it up. HA! That same person in the front row repeatedly shouts "They cheat!" Yang and Stud are not happy to be on the same team due to their hardcore title feud. All right the rules are survivor series rules, until it gets down to one man on each side and then they go for the flag. Howard Dean says someone needs anger management. Erebus runs his mouth at ringside. Payne and Yang start. Byson charges Yang and he bails. Payne and Stud in a brawl, whip clothesline Stud, guess he's starting. Payne tags Byson. Kick, whip clothesline to the guy by Byson. Tag Angel. Byson's slugging away on Stud, Angel in, kick DDT, legdrop. Something's wrong with Angel's arm. Stud wants to tag out, no one wants it, Yang is tagged. Yang wants to shake with Payne, Payne kick to the gut, whip reverse clothesline corner by Yang. Gutwrench powerbomb by Yang gets two. Yang slugs away. Lust is tagged in, snap mare, drop kick to the back of the head, cover broken up. Tag Yang, Lust slam, Yang with a slingshot senton and lands straight down on his head! Byson breaks up the cover, Yang chokes him with the belt, fake tag, Stud stomps away. Short-arm clothesline by the Stud. Stud pickup, drops Payne on the top rope. Tag Yang, slugs away in the corner, Dean is laughing like a maniac, Yang stands on him in the corner and walks all over him. Yang pounds away in the corner, hip toss, leg drop, tag Lust. Lust on the second rope, hits a move, pickup pounds away on C, whip clothesline missed, elbow by Payne. Tag Angel with bad right arm, chop, pulls Lust's shirt up for another chop. Tag Stud, tag Byson. Lockup, Byson with a knee, pounds the head, tag Angel. Double whip double elbow gets two. Angel pickup forearms to the head, whip reverse SPEAR by Stud and that's it for him!

Tony Angel, you ARE the weakest link...goodbye! The Stud pin -> 8:40 mins.

Payne is next, wants to shake hands with Lust. Kick to the knee, punches away, whip drop kick Lust. Lust stomps away, punches in the corner, rake, rope burn. Lust goes for the figure four, grabs a helping hand in the corner, the ref is tied up with Byson. Ref could count a pin, shoulders are down. Scissors the knee and drops down with it, tag Stud. Choke in the corner, Stud pickup, UPPERCUT! Knife-edge chop, hip toss Stud, stands on his ear. Stud whip clothesline missed, C with a clothesline, Payne tags Byson. Ram in the corner, Byson with a ten punch count, throw down by the hair, tag Payne. Kick to the gut, brainbuster gets three!

Hollywood Stud, you ARE the weakest link...goodbye! Curtis Payne pin -> 13:15 mins.

Lust is in, whips Payne into his corner where Yang whacks him with a stick. Inverted spinning neckbreaker follows and Payne is out.

Curtis Payne, you ARE the weakest link...goodbye! Lust pin -> 13:40 mins.

Byson's all alone, Lust tries a full nelson but can't lock it in, Yang's up, spews green spit but gets Lust in the eyes! Byson knocks him to the rail, Byson slams Lust, off the ropes legdrop gets Lust outta here.

Lust, you ARE the weakest link....goodbye! Dick Byson pin -> 14:20 mins.

Now the flag rule kicks in. Yang whip to the corner, spinning heel kick. Lust is stumbling around blind. Byson clubs him in the back, whip to the corner, neckbreaker Byson. Atari climbs in the ring, Byson whacks him down, then grabs his flag.

WINNER and SOLE SURVIVOR: Dick Byson -> 16 mins. **¾

You could tell here that all the men stepped it up for this match as opposed to the ones earlier in the night. Byson beats the crap out of Atari Tanaka, fans want the second mask off, but he doesn't do it. He lays the Japanese flag over his body instead, and leg drops him. Howard Dean comes in and counts a pin. Dick Byson and Howard Dean come in and do a posedown with Payne and Angel. People start leaving thinking the show is over cause they pose for a long time, and I'm not sure if it's over yet so I'm waiting for the ring announcer to say goodnight, but there is one more match.

MPW Heavyweight Championship
(c)Gluttony 6'8" 400lbs. Parts Unknown w/ Erebus vs. "Envy" Christian Haze 6'2" 250lbs. Phoenix, AZ w/ Erebus - Well this was the reason why Haze turned heel in the first place cause he wasn't getting any heavyweight title shots. If he wins, he adds the heavyweight belt to his tag team championship he currently holds. Erebus is none too happy about this matchup. The WHOLE Legion is out here to watch. Lockup shoving toss by the Glut. Toss again by Glut. Haze slugs away, Glut with a choke in the corner, shoulder blocks to the gut, big slap on the chest, hip toss, KO punch. Glut whip to the corner, splash misses, Haze kicks him in the knee, takedown. Haze shoulderblock has no effect, Haze crossbody is caught for a powerslam by Glut getting two. Choke by Glut, tossout, Glut rams him in the rail, then chops him against the post. Glut with a chair, misses a chairshot against the post, Haze with some chairshots. Fight continues outside, Glut throws Haze in, slams him. Glut on the second rope and misses the splash. Haze manages to stand on the top rope squatting down and drops an elbow for two. Man, how he didn't bump the ceiling tiles is amazing. Haze kicks away at the knee, figure four Haze, Glut turns it but Haze has the ropes. Glut with a whip spinebuster gets two. Haze with a SPEAR gets two. Haze goes back to the top rope, attempt at a clothesline is blocked, Glut with a chokeslam and wins it.

WINNER and STILL CHAMP: Gluttony pin -> 9:30 mins. **½

The entire Legion gets in the ring, Erebus is mad, but eventually all of them pose with all the title belts they've got. And the show is over.

The Final Verdict: MPW must of had an off night cause I've seen a lot better from these guys. But several key people weren't here tonight, apparently due to an attack by the Legion of Doom against Damian Blade, Chico Es Loco, and the Searcher. Brutality Inc. fresh off of RCW closing its doors was supposed to make their return tonight also but I didn't see them anywhere, unless they both wrestled under masks but I couldn't tell if they were them. Course this sub-par show couldn't have come at a worse time, cause there's a rebuilding effort going on to get interest in wrestling back to where it was before another promotion pretty much stunk up the place. If I had a tape of one of those shows to make a comparison I would, but I don't so I could only imagine what happened back then. Regardless, the rebuilding effort just suffered a major setback. I don't say this stuff just because I want to be an @$$hole, constructive criticism is given to improve the product. I could say a lot more, but considering how pissed off certain people are at me it's not worth the effort. Thumbs WAY down.

And now, what the MPW webmasters DID NOT WANT YOU TO READ that ultimately got my banned (from a couple particular IP numbers anyway):

MPW 2/7/2K4 "The Grand Brawl" Results/Talkback

Posted on February 8, 2004 at 00:31:20 AM by Crimefighter

Let's try something different here. This WAS a TV taping yes, and there's been a lot of fuss about spoilers and crap supposedly might deter someone from watching, but I can say for a fact that it doesn't stop me from watching Smackdown cause I read the results on Wednesday morning. Bethalto alledgedly has been suffering from lower attendance numbers caused by either oversaturation, or rumor has it that a couple of particular wrestlers have been on the same shows every week or something. Beats me. I actually attended this show for the first time since last April with family in tow not knowing what I would get. Well after the show was over there was this exchange with "Dick Bison" about the matches I liked and didn't like.

I tell Bison I liked a bit the opening ladies match and the last two matches...the rest bleh. Bison says you didn't like my match with Yang? I say no, he says I got my money's worth of entertainment tonight. Reply...I guess! Bison...you guess? Reply well what was that saying...you get what you pay for!

I'm too tired to talk about the show at this moment...if you attended this show, make your comments! I shall be shortly!

This post lasted until sometime early Sunday afternoon, about 12-15 hours before someone deleted it.

Bethalto Show Results...and commentary!!

Hello wrestling fans, here is a quick recap of the Bethalto HOUSE Show.

Trinity defeated Jaden

Devan Scott and The Hollywood Stud battled to a no-contest

MPW Hardcore Title Match
Sloth and Pride defeated Curtis Payne

Yingish Yang defeated Dick Byson

Newcomers C. Crunchberry and ??? wrestled here. I was in a meating at the time and dont remember names or who won. I hear it was a good match. When I get more info. I will post it here.

Uriah Lust and Tony Angel battled to a no contest.

Dick Byson, Curtis Payne, and Tony Angel defeated the team of Lust, The Hollywood Stud, and Yingish Yang in a flag match.

We here at MPW want to thank everyone who attended the show last night. We were without 3 of our top superstars due to The Legion destroying them at the last show in St. Clair. Im sure that The Searcher, Chico Es Loco, and Damian Blade will be back for revenge soon!

Now, with that said, I want to say that we love our true, real fans that support us. We more than doubled our attendance from previous Bethalto shows. Another promotion was running that venue and killed it. We are in the process of rebuilding. Thank all of you for your support.

As for this Crimefighter goes, we here at MPW like to hear from everyone who goes to our shows. Truth be told though, we prefer to hear from people who live and breathe wrestling, not people who care more about the inside workings of wrestling. Our performers bust their butts at every show. We sweat, bleed, lose friendships, family time, and sometimes even lose our families for this business. We do it for wrestling fans, not for some goon who only cares about backstage stuff and who did the biggest highspot of the night. Everyone in that crowd last night got their $5 worth of entertainment, if not more.

Injury list...

Yingish Yang- Elbow injury.
Dick Byson- Neck injury.
Jaden- back injury.
Trinity- back injury.
Tony Angel- Broken rib.
Sloth- Abrasions on forehead.

Thats just to name a few. We have these injuries because WE put our all into our performances. Thanks once again to the REAL fans of MPW!

This post remains, but this generated some responses and rebuttal...

First thing first I beat that old goat stud the ending of the match was stud got DQ'd because that fat peice of crap The MPW champ shamoo got involved. Now for Shamoo like I said last night shine the belt up, you Pi$$ed off "the Irish Nightmare" and i am comming for your title.

Now I have a thought about the crimefighter and what he said to byson last night. First off crimefighter if your opinion counted "the Irish nightmare" would tell you it mattered. Now all joking aside. First If you ever walk up to me and say the things you said to Byson last night you remember what happened to john stosell a while ago, that would be a cake walk compared to what i will do to you. A night in jail comparred to a week in the Hospitial sounds like and even trade for a peice of $hiT like you. I have two torn rotator cuffs in my shoulders to spots in my neck that have to be fussed together later this year and you have nerve to disrespect me and the rest of the boys like this, I am beggin you please come to the next show I will buy you a ticket to show you how well the MPW boys can work.

Lastly all I ask you is lace up some boots, Grow Nads and do what we do and quit being a ringside wannabe wrestler, if you aren't happy with the show that is ok but don't disrespect us have the professionalism to say that wasen't a good show but you guys do work hard and the fans apprecitate it Don't be a TOOL. Thanks for all the kind words from the fans see ya soon Devan Scott

As a REAL wrestling fan who was at the show I can honestly say that recieved I way more than $5.00 worth of entertainment last night. I don't know what this Crimefighter person was watching, but from my seat I saw a lot of great wrestling action mixed with some very funny comedy. A huge THANK YOU to all of the MPW superstars who put there bodies on the line. And by the way C. Crunch won that match. Also I didn't see anything about the Gluttony vs. Envy match which Gluttony

won. Thanks for the chance to speak my mind, KTF, Scott

...from my intelligence being insulted...here's the REAL response.

First, the man in the purple and yellow mask is known as "LORE" and was defeated by Captain Crunchberry. Info courtesy of President Bigg. Second what the heck are you talking about, "live and breathe wrestling"? That says to me that you think I rarely attend live wrestling events at all or only watch WWE, which is a load of CRAP. I've gotten quite a good sample of various groups across the country, thanks to the technology of streaming video. That series of Rap Sheet reviews I've written on streaming video matches should had given you the hint.

Third, a diehard fan will remain a diehard fan, it's the casual fans you should be worried about. You talk about building up the fan base in Bethalto again, if they come away thinking the show was very sub-par, do you think perhaps they'll be back for the next one or do go somewhere else? If you thought the matches were that great, fine, gimme a rating on each of them! 0-5 stars, every time someone gripes about how good or bad a match I think it is, I ask them this question and NEVER get an answer! I'm curious how you would have rated each match, I haven't tipped my hand yet, but I will in a day or two and

may revise my match ratings.

I would had thought the same fans who attend shows in Godfrey would also attend shows in Bethalto.

And you talk about injuries, well they certainly didn't do them any favors leaving the floor around the ring bare concrete. I dunno who took a suplex on the floor, but geez there's no reason NOT to put floor mats down around the ring. There just isn't.

Devan Scott, gimme a break. Byson ASKED ME what I thought about tonight's show, I wasn't gonna LIE TO HIM and say it was the greatest match I've ever seen! And I have no desire in the world to be a pro wrestler, let's make THAT CLEAR. And lastly, I bought the tickets, I have every right to critique a show. You DON'T HAVE to like it, you don't have to agree with it, and you have every right to refute and rebutt everything I say or ignore it completely. Maybe you don't have free speech in Ireland, but that's the way it is around here. By the way, this isn't the first time I've gotten this type of gripe from a wrestler, the first time I attended a Rampage Championship Wrestling show a few months ago, my review of the show overall was negative, and individual wrestlers made similar comments that you made. Obivously the apple didn't fall far from the tree cause RCW ain't around anymore.

All right, that's ALL I'm gonna say on this until I finish my full show review and commentary.

This post covered ALL the criticism I got, but the webmaster deleted it ONE HOUR later. That was also the time they banned me from the board. The last two notes here were all wiped within two hours.

No kidding....what's wrong with a little constructive criticism once in a while?

My biggest pet peeve remains....people who delete posts that do not violate any WRITTEN board rules.

Now it is my belief the one who did the banishment is one Rich Ware, who had the gall to lecture me about respect being earned not given. What's his problem anyway? Is he so afraid of the power of the pen? That belief though was incorrect. Apparently he doesn't have involvement in moderation, which leaves two certain nameless people in my doghouse. Besides that, various wrestlers are making threats that if they "knew who I was" they would have beat me up or something. Talk about anal people...
