Lacey 5'6" 120lbs. Minneapolis, MN vs. Rain 5'6" 127lbs. Sacramento, CA w/ "Rage" - This is interesting, these two women who are arch rivals share their website and promote themselves together. Then why aren't they ever a tag team then? Lacey points out that they have teamed before. This by the way is Lacey from Minnesota, and is not Lacey the Lumberjack of Missouri/California. Lockup, Lacey gets one on a rollup. Front facelock on the mat by Lacey, armbar by Rain, hammerlock by Lacey, headlock by Lacy, takedown gets one. Shoveoff, whip side slam Lacey gets two. Lacey kicks away in the corner, whip Lacey eats a boot and gets slugged down. Choke on the bottom rope, Rage does something, then gets yanked off the ropes for two. Rain yanks Lacey around by the hair, kickaway, choke, hair toss. Another choke on the ropes, Rage does some choking. Rain whip reverse, Lacey with a full split duck under into a sunset flip for two. Tradeoff of pincovers, Rain does a hair toss. Rage does some MORE choking on the ropes. Rain whip, bodyslam gets two. Rain with a couple knees, whip rollup Lacey for two, Rain clothesline gets two. Choke in the corner, punchaway, Rain gets caught in a powerbomb though. Lacey slugs away, bad camerawork, flying double chop, spin kick gets two. Fireman's carry Diamond Cutter by Lacey gets three.

Man vs. Woman Match
O.D.B. 5'6" 130lbs. Las Vegas, NV vs. Kamikaze Ken Anderson 6'2" 225lbs. Minneapolis, MN - What does ODB stand for anyway? She is their SDW Women's champion. She has the mike and is unhappy about wrestling the same people over and over. She's complaining about having to wrestle Lacey and Rain repeatedly and them wrestling each other repeatedly. Well there ain't that many women wrestlers around, you either have to import them from another fed, or just go somewhere else to get new opponents. Or go to Japan. She wants an SDW official in the ring and issues an open challenge against a MAN. Someone does answer the challenge. Anderson has the mike, and he cusses her out. He promised his mom he'd never beat on women, so he won't accept. She kicks him in the balls. The match begins! It's featherweight versus a heavyweight! Anderson charges, gets backdropped out, but he flips back in and boots her out. She gets in, clothesline misses, Anderson holds her head away from him but gets LOW BLOWED! Whip springboard clothesline off the ropes gets two for ODB. She's slugging away at him, Anderson shoves her, splash attempt fails, she continues to kick away at him. ODB on the ropes, crossbody is caught, gorilla press is escape, sunset flip is blocked, Anderson pulls her by the hair and LOW BLOWS him again! She slugs him down for two. Where's the DQ here? Charge by Anderson misses, hair yank, ODB splash off the ropes misses. ODB with a slap, Anderson is pissed off and uses her arms to hit her. Anderson has her bent over for a move and starts yanking her shirt but JB Draz runs in for the cheap DQ and gives him a Juvy Driver. Ummm yeah.

Man vs. Woman Match
O.D.B. 5'6" 130lbs. Las Vegas, NV vs. Shawn Davairi 5'10" 187lbs. Tehran, Iran - Davairi's gimmick, which aired on an episode of Sunday Night Heat, is that he uses a carpet to do moves off the top rope. Promoters get mad if he forgets to bring it. Shawn is in the ring chewing out Lacey & Rain for being here saying they should be doing house chores and have no business in the ring. Out comes ODB to challenge Davairi. Shawn says the reason I'm not kicking your butt right now is that no one wants to see a man fight a girl. Yeah, that's most people, wrong reason though. ODB asks if we want to see her kick his butt, and Shawn clobbers her from behind. Choke on the ropes, Shawn off the ropes and sits on her. Another one misses and ODB chops him, whip reversed flying headscissors, clotheslines, slam ODB. ODB throws him out but he hangs on and comes back in, ODB clotheslines him out, suicide dive, toss in, covers gets two. ODB chops away, whip clothesline missed, Shawn with a kick off the spin. Shawn rams ODB in the corner, chokes away, snap mare, drop kick to the back gets two. Davairi chop, whip clothesline gets two. ODB punches him in the gut, whip reverse clothesline Shawn. Suplex Davairi gets two. Shawn whip sunset flip ODB gets two. Jockeying for a move and Shawn lands a knockout punch. Shawn with a slam, an elbow gets two. Piledriver attempt is reversed into an Alabama Slam by ODB getting two. Shawn yanks on the thong, puts her up for a piledriver but lets go of it due to the "smell". Shawn whip knee, ab stretch using the rope, ref doesn't pay much attention, he gets caught doing it, hip toss ODB. ODB slugs away on Shawn, chops, whip clothesline, drop kick. Whip reversed springboard clothesline ODB gets two. Chop whip, Shawn misses ODB and flying forearms the ref. ODB whip reverse to the corner, Shawn eats a boot, ODB rams Shawn's head into the turnbuckle while sitting on it, then hits a flying X-Factor from the top. Cover by ODB but the ref's out, Shawn goes out and is fetching a chair. Lacey and Rain jump in and take the chair, Lacey kicks Shawn, Rain and Lacey put Shawn on their shoulders for ODB to do a flying neckbreaker from the top, ODB covers and wins it!

Now lets move to some matches from APW.

World Midget Championship
(c)Beautiful Bobby Dean 95lbs. ??? vs. Little Kato 97lbs. Kansas City, MO - This one took place in November 2000. Little Kato chews out the fans and will whip Dean as bad as the Cheifs will beat the 49ers. Kato jumps Dean before the bell and clobbers him in the corner, Dean takes over and slugs away, hip tosses Dean, whip back body drop. Lockup shove Kato. Lockup, slam by Kato. Lockup wristlock, takedown. Lockup, top wristlock takedown, Kato keeps claiming his hair was pulled. Lockup again, top wristlock by Kato and he yanks him by the hair. He does it again, the ref is clueless. Boot wipe by Kato, whip to the corner by Dean, he hangs him in the corner, and Kato has his legs parted so far he's stuck in the ropes. Geez ref, just lift Kato out of the corner! Dean keeps putting his leg back in the ropes getting them stuck again. Kato can't stand. Lockup, armbar Kato, kick, twist, knockdown. Kato whip kick in the corner, he splits the legs and LOW BLOW kick. Dean with a clothesline, whip reverse drop kick Dean gets one. Whip kick Dean, flying bulldog off the second rope gets two. Dean whip, X-Factor Kato, 3/4 nelson. Dean reverses it, it looks more like a 3/4 nelson, Kato break it. Dean puts the 3/4 nelson back on, Kato breaks it easily. Dean puts the 3/4 nelson back on, Kato rolls backward with it to break it, puts it on again, Kato climbs the ropes but Dean just drops him for two. Ref keeps pitching Dean on Kato. Kato with a spinkick, whip back body drop gets two, ref throws Kato across the ring. Yeah we knew that would happen. Kato locks hands with Dean, Dean with a monkey flip and tries to pin him with the knuckle lock, Kato turns it over tries to hold him down but can't. Kato threatens to hit the ref. Kato with an axe kick on Dean, he slingshots Dean into the top turnbuckle. Kato chops away, whip Dean with a flying headscissors, hurranconranna, Dean goes up, splash misses! Kato whip, Dean flips out of it, neckbreaker Dean, and the ref with a VERY FAST three count. What the heck was Jimmy Ripp doing??

Man vs. Woman Match
Cheerleader Melissa w/ Tiffany vs. Vennis "The Menace" DeMarco w/ Chris Cole - Well if I'm doing the oddball stuff, I can't leave out a woman who wrestles men regularly despite having done an all Cheerleader Melissa rap sheet. Vennis is walking around with a rose, teasing handing it off to several girls including the referee and ring announcer. Vennis has the mike and runs his mouth about needing protection from all these women after him so he brings out his tag partner. Lockup, Vennis with a forearm, punches her in the head, kicks her in the gut, clotheslines her, arm drag, drop kick and Melissa bails out. Lockup, armbar Melissa, arm drag, knees the arm, and Vennis bails out. Lockup, chop Melissa, whip clotheslines misses, Matrix duck and Vennis misses with the crossbody. Melissa kicks away, and hits an enzugiri sending Vennis out. Back in, lockup, arm drag Melissa, Vennis with an armbar, Melissa turns it into a hammerlock to the mat and does a flip with it. Vennis knees her, snap mare and applies a rear chinlock. Vennis with a spinebuster gets two. Vennis with a suplex and pounds away on her head. Vennis whip reverse monkey flip Melissa, Vennis with a head and a front facelock. Vennis with a headbutt, whip side suplex Melissa. Melissa slugs away, whip clotheslines, elbow, drop kick, butterfly suplex, charging forearm, fisherman's suplex gets two. Vennis gets a punch, knockdown, slam, two springboard elbows gets a two count. Vennis whip forearm Melissa, whip runs into a boot. Vennis with a running full nelson bulldog!!! The Italian Job move only got TWO! Slingshot legdrop by Vennis gets two. Vennis tries a suplex but gets small packaged for two, OK roll by Melissa gets two. Melissa off the ropes, Chris Cole trips her. Vennis pushes Melissa out, Cole and Melissa argue with the referee in between, Tiffany goes on the top rope and hits a flying headscissors on Vennis. Melissa locks on a fujiwa armbar, referee stops it when Vennis slaps the other arm once on the mat. Vennis disputes that it was a tap out, another referee comes in and says it was a tap out. Errr, I can't say it was a tap out, you have to slap the mat repeatedly not once, pause then slap it again as he did here. The two men attack the girls, Vennis puts Tiffany in a fireman's carry into a Juvy Driver, Cole clotheslines Melissa down. Sore losers.

Men vs. Women Tag Match
Cheerleader Melissa 5'8" 135lbs. Los Angeles, CA & Tiffany 5'7" 131lbs. Martinez, CA vs. Vennis "The Menace" DeMarco 6'2" 201lbs. Venice, Italy & Chris Cole 5'7" 186lbs. Cincinnati, Italy - Another men vs. women match, in a battle of the sexes. Now the WWE tried this twice, and it won't compare to this. Alas the women are only half the weight of the men. The lady ref checks everyone over but the crowd is really heckling the guys. Big slap from the girls, the men try a double whip and get thrown into each other. The girls ram the men's heads together and they flee. Cole and Melissa are gonna start it, Cole with an armbar, Melissa hammerlocks him but he's in the ropes. Melissa with an takedown armbar, works the arm on the mat for quite a while. Northern Lights suplex into a bridge gets two. Melissa goes up, Cole gets her on his shoulders, she rolls him up for two, small package gets two, OK roll gets two and Cole tags DeMarco. Some chant rings out, I think it's DOA or something. Vennis muscles Melissa in the corner, does something, Melissa comes out and slaps him repeatedly bringing in Cole to pull her off. Now the men try to leave but the ref makes them return. Vennis back in, lockup, arm wringer Melissa. She takes him down and yanks up on that arm, but he makes the ropes. Lockup, Vennis slugs away, whip sunset flip Melissa, but she does the tumbling legscissors and gets two. Vennis bails again to shake off the dizziness. Tag Cole. Cole slugs Melissa down, but she armdrags him, then yanks on that arm. Cole tries to punch his way out, they trade shots, Cole whip and the lowest looking drop kick I've ever seen makes contact with the lower leg. Cole with another whip and powerslam gets two. Cole goes to work on Melissa's leg. Spinning leg lock by Cole, tag DeMarco, he puts on a half crab. Tiffany comes in and kicks him off. Vennis slugs away on Melissa's head and puts the half crab back on. Cole tries to jump in and Tiffany goes to break it up again, but we get an illegal switch and Cole with a leglock. Melissa kicks him in the head but Cole keeps working on that leg and stomps it on the bottom rope. Vennis beats on her some more, Cole rams Melissa's leg into the post. The lady ref stays tied up with Tiffany. DeMarco holds that leglock, Melissa kicks him away, Cole in illegally and drags her back. Cole with a choke, whip Vennis reversed back body drop Melissa. Tiffany is tagged in, Cole is as well, hip toss Tiffany, DeMarco is checking on Cole, Tiffany with a flying headscissors. She gets caught in a Juvy Driver though, DeMarco holds her for a superkick in the face by Cole and wins it.

WINNERS: Vennis DeMarco & Chris Cole pin -> 15:25 mins. ***

The men celebrate their victory, but a bunch of women are gathering around Tiffany. Melissa jumps in, Tiffany, Nikki, and two lady refs start beating the crap out of DeMarco in the corner, now the ring announcer who's a lady gets in and does the stinkface! Cole gets his share as well! Melissa says she'll get them back soon.

Women's Texas Death Stripper Match
Miss Brenda 128lbs. Hartford, CA vs. Gina 126lbs. Richmond, CA - Yes, that's right, it's under Texas Death Match rules, but the loser of each fall has to undress a piece of clothing. Gina gets a slap, then a hair toss. Gina with a DDT and gets the pin very quick at 1:35 mins. Brenda refuses to strip, so Gina strips the shorts off. Gina with a snap mare, then uses a pinning combo to get another pin at 2:55 mins. Brenda then takes off her top, Gina comes over to give Brenda a wedgie but LOW BLOWS her. Uh, you can LOW BLOW a woman? Ram into the turnbuckle, and Brenda fetches a table and puts Gina on it. Brenda with a senton on Gina, then an elbowdrop breaks the table. Brenda puts Gina back in the ring and pins her at 4:50 mins. Gina alas is not moving at all. The lights go out, Brenda is trying CPR, the Gina hugs Brenda for no apparent reason. A bunch of men get in the ring, and they're encouraging this display of HLA. The ring announcer announces that Brenda wins by KO. HUH?

WINNER: Miss Brenda KO -> 4:50 mins. ¼*

Brenda and Gina are still hugging each other and some of the men. A fan at ringside came in to argue and one of the men blasts her with a caneshot! Several members of the crowd jump in the ring to get her out and she's bleeding. I wonder if that idiot Kuame Kamoze got arrested or fired for doing it, he SHOULD HAD BEEN. Match was worthless except for that one table spot but that wasn't as nasty looking as people claimed. This was from back in 1997 but you have to wonder if Eric Bischoff got the HLA idea from watching this match.

Man vs. Woman Hardcore Match
JR Benson 144½lbs. Huckleberry Rehab Center, San Franciso, CA vs. Lady Brenda 122lbs. Concord, CA - Oh geez, this type of match sounds X-rated! And this is announced as the "main event" of the show held on Halloween 1997. I've not heard of a man vs. woman match as a main event, since many of them aren't good. Brenda ain't Chyna or Cheerleader Melissa here. Benson runs his mouth that no woman can beat a man and cusses up a storm about Scott Hall. It's welterweight versus featherweight, and Brenda stupidly turns her back as the bell rings and Benson charges her with a forearm, chokes her in the corner. Choke on the ropes, then slaps her, and chokes her with a cord. Hair toss by Benson, elbow misses. Brenda chops and kicks away, toss out, gets a chair and whacks him. Tape is skipping like crazy. Brenda rams Benson into the garage door, puts a chair on the apron, baseball slide into the chair and the head of Benson. Brenda with a dive on Benson toss in, puts the chair in. Eye poke by Benson, whacks her with the chair, Brenda grabs Benson by the balls! Brenda with a DDT on the chair. Brenda puts Benson on the chair, she goes up, sommersault senton into Benson gets three! Dang that was quick.

WINNER: Lady Brenda pin -> 5:35 mins. *

Match wasn't done justice by all the skips in the tape. A large man nails Brenda, who's id'ed as Boom Boom Comini. Brenda is splashed by the big man before the Grimes Bros. chase him off. Benson didn't manage to get away and the Grimes Bros. beat him with chairs and powerbomb him into the wall. Grimes gets a pumpkin and blasts him with it. Another one is put on his head, chairshot to the pumpkin head! Golf club is pulled out and they whack him with it. A trunk is used on Benson, it's full of tools! VCR is smashed on Benson, now they all are going outside! Grimes has a CHAINSAW!!! We can't see anything outside, but they bring Benson back in and he's a bloody mess. The Grimes Bros. set up a table, they put Benson on top, along with some barbed wires to tie him down. Sheesh they're gonna KILL HIM! Vic Grimes on the apron, flying senton from the ring to the floor! (But the tape skipped on it so we didn't see the hit!!!) The Grimes pile stuff on Benson before they leave. The ring announcer is screaming for wire cutters to free Benson and put him on a stretcher.

Well I'm stopping the reviews for today, next time, I'm going back to downloadable matches from all across the net as some new ones have sprung up that aren't WWF or WCW videos. Until next time, this is the Crimefighter saying bustin' ain't easy!
