Doug Summers & Rocco Abruzzi vs. Arion Bros. - Alex & Frankie - Doug Summers wears a tie and a kilt.  Not the kind of ring attire I recommend wearing. Apparently the Arion Brothers have been having a disagreement about things.  Summers starts off with Frankie, Frankie gets the drop kick and armdrag.  Rocco tags in and gets taken down, Alex tags in, axe off the second.  Alex works that arm, Rocco elbows out and tags Doug but gets hip tossed down.  Alex gets the back body drop and nails Rocco for two.  Backbreaker Alex gets two before a botched save by Rocco who gets tossed.  Commentators say Alex has been in there a long time...at the 2½ minute mark where he's been in the same length as Frankie.  Alex whip drop kick, knocks Rocco off, and gets two.  Inverted atomic drop, elbow gets two and Rocco blows the save again and gets tossed.  Alex teases tagging Frankie before forearming Summers, whip side elbow gets one and Rocco nails his own partner on the botched save before being dumped.  Summers with a whip but gets DDT'ed, Alex goes up, splash off the top finishes it.  Total squash.  Alex seems to have been taking notes from Scott Steiner and Owen Hart.

WINNERS:  Arion Bros. pin -> 5:30 mins. *

Interview with the Arion Brothers about an upcoming chance at their heavyweight title.  The commissioner has been threatening to suspend Alex for not showing up for certain matches.  Jonny Idol does an interview after a commerical about an upcoming Texas Death Match against Steve King.

Dan Freitas w/ Brian Nunes vs. Kid Mikazi - Nunes & Freitas tag as "Pride".  Mikazi gets the armbar but Freitas reverses it, whip but Mikazi gets a flying armbar takedown.  Nunes grabs Mikazi's leg, but the ref doesn't throw him out.  Freitas with an elbow gets two.  Freitas whips him hard into the corner, a second whip but he eats the boots.  Mikazi with the split legged moonsault gets the knee, drop kick gets Dan two.  Mikazi with what looked to be a monkey flip but he gets a jawbreaker with his feet.  They slug away, Nunes on the apron, Mukazi nails him, rollup by Mikazi gets two, Nunes nails him and Freitas rolls him up hooking the tights for three.  BAH!

"The Pinnacle" Paul Lombardi vs. Tiger Fang - 20:30  Fang gets a legscissors for two and holds a headlock.  Drop toe hold Fang, clothesline, snap mare.  Lombardi shoulderblocks in the corner, Fang with a crossbody for two.  Fang gets a clothesline, whip Russian leg sweep Lombardi.  Paul kicks away, gets a suplex but someone runs in out of nowhere to interrupt.  OH PLEASE!

NO WINNER:  NO CONTEST -> 2:15 mins. ¼*

El Boricua apparently has some problem with the Pinnacle and is to have a strap match at an upcoming show.  And that's it for episode one.

Episode two, and Alex Arion has indeed turned on his brother with a chair before going to the top and hitting the money shot.

Khristian Frost vs. Kid Mikazi - The wrestlers fight over an armbar, and end up double crossbodying.  They slug away, ending up with a Mikazi drop kick for two.  Frost with an armwrap neckbreaker for two.  Fisherman's suplex Frost gets two.  Frost whip corner but eats the knees, Mikazi with a wheelbarrow to sending Frost face first to the mat, turns him over and pins him.  Wished this one went longer than it did.

They play ads for an upcoming show and the Slamtech wrestling school.

$500 Open Challenge
"The Natural" Ru Starr w/ Johnny Idol vs. Pat Masters - 11:00  Ru of course has someone in his corner to save him the cash in case he's about to lose.  Starr calls Masters a girl, the ref blocks a punch Masters attempts to throw at him.  Ru with an armdrag.  Ru with a trip and he walks on him.  Masters gets a drop toe hold, hip toss, and headlock takedown.  Ru shoves him off, tries a monkey flip but gets a foot to the face.  Masters back to the headlock on the mat.  Ru tries a back suplex, but gets the enzuigiri and dumps him outside.  Idol of course gets a cheap shot.  Ru with a choke on the mat, uppercut, vertical suplex gets two.  Ru with a whip, but Masters with the backslide gets two.  Starr drop kick, knee drop gets two.  Masters with an enzuigiri, charges and clotheslines Ru out.  Masters with an apron slam, toss in.  Idol shoves Masters in the rear on the way back in, Starr small package wins it.  Basic match.

WINNER:  Ru Starr ->  7:25 mins. *½

Pat Masters issues a challenge to Idol & Starr for a tag match in a couple weeks.  Next segement, the crowd calls the next group of guys that come out traitors.  Alex Arion is called a traitor, but he claims everyone turned on him.  He says don't trust anyone including his family.  Chris Venom comes out demanding Arion do the right thing and but the heels attack him instead and Frankie Arion runs out with a chair for the save.  That's it for this episode.

Moving on to episode three.

RAVE - Kristian Frost & Zack Static vs. Doug Summers & Rocco Abruzzi - Rocci & Zack starts, Frost tags in, double armwringer suplex, Summers botches the save and gets a double crossarm neckbreaker.  Rocco nails Frost, gut wrench suplex gets two.  KO punch Rocco, whip sunset flip Frost gets two.  Rocco tags, shot to the gut.  Summers with a backbreaker, tag Rocco, shot to the gut.  Rocco whip corner but misses the charges and gets rolled for one.  Summers tags in, hits a neckbreaker where the victim drops before the attacker.  Summers with a whip, crossbody Frost gets two.  Summers chokes him, draws Zack in, the villians beat up Frost as the ref's tied up.  Rocco to the fireman's carry but Frost DDTs him out of that.  Static in, clothesline and elbows for everyone, Static tries something on Summers but gets clotheslined by Rocco, Summers with what looked to be a face driver into a knee called the "Beautiful Disaster" for the pin.

Tiger Fang vs. Johnny Idol w/ Ru Starr - Idol goes to the attack, whip shoulderblock.  Fang with a flying forearm shot gets two.  Idol gets a DDT on a failed back body drop attempt.  Showboat elbow Idol gets two.  Choke on the ropes, Ru Starr gets a cheap uppercut for two.  Idol whip rollup Fang for two.  Idol with a DDT for two.  Idol slams him, hops on the ropes and hits an elbow for two.  Fang hits a karate kick, gut wrench suplex for two.  Fang chop, whip corner, misses the charge, FLATLINER Idol gets three!

WINNER:  Johnny Idol pin -> 3:50 mins. *½

They show a highlight reel of the Payback show held on 11/20, NOT showing the impact of people going through tables.

Brian Nunes w/ Dan Freitas vs. "Big Guns" Frankie Arion - Nunes attacks before it gets in the ring.  Nunes whip SPEAR Arion and he slugs away on the mat, HARD KICK to the gut.  Frankie whip reverse Nunes gets dropkicked down.  Acid Drop by Frankie shortly after and it's over already!

WINNER:  "Big Guns" Frankie Arion pin -> 55 seconds. ¼*

The Verdict:  Just a lot of short TV matches that don't really display a lot of what these guys can do.  I just don't know what kind of impression they are trying to put forth but they are real slow out of the gate falling short of what a new revolution is supposed to look like.  For me to start watching them every week with all the wrestling out there to watch you usually have to put out some of your better material first.  They call these "preview" episodes, but I'm not sure when the "regular" episodes come out if they'll be any different.  Production is first rate, but the matches are not.  All of these shows are available on http://www.necw.tv for anyone that wants to download and watch.

Thumbs down.
