The rap sheet is posted in rec.sport.pro-wrestling.info and the Rap Sheet Dossier at http://rap-sheet.tripod.com. After writing a review of the Ace of Spades show I attended in July 2004, "Soon To Be" Justin MacIntyre asked me to watch this video and write a review of it.  Since I've been in the process of packing up to move and other more timely stuff took precendent, I finally finished up this tape.

JP the so-called director of operations comes to the ring to open the show and runs through the lineup, and they put up good graphics like the WWE does.  They air the opening montage.

Big Pappa comes to the ring first and cusses out Grendal for costing him a match and wants to beat him up now.  Arrgh, live commentary over the PA system!

Hardcore Match
Big Pappa vs. Grendal - Well Grendal tries some move off the top but gets powerbombed.  Pappa leaves the ring and walks around on the floor.  Grendal gets the mike and cusses him out.  Grendal dives on him, gets tosses over his head, he lands on the apron but hits a flying tackle.  Grendal pounds away, whip reverse Pappa clothesline gets two.  Suplex Pappa, throws him out, panshots, DDT on the floor!  Grendal gets up right away, back in, suicide dive but gets slammed down.  Luckily there's padding.  Suplex on the floor, Grendal jumps up and slugs on Pappa, whip into the stairs goes Grendal.  Grendal pops up again and hits Pappa then gets a ladder.  He charges and gets backdropped into the ladder.  Pappa throws him in the ladder again, splash on the ladder.  Pappa is back in, Grendal gets a pan, gutshot and panshot.  Grandal goes up, frogsplash gets two.  Grendal whip to the corner, he slugs away, Pappa shoves him off, he goes up, Grendal goes up, hurraconranna which only sends Pappa forward without the flip.  Double legdrop on a tray gets two for Grendal.  Grendal acts like he's going for a powerbomb, but gets Alabama slammed, elbow is missed.  Sheesh Grendal doesn't seem to be hurt by anything done to him.  Grendal puts the ladder in, slingshot legdrop.  Grendal puts up the ladder, throws Pappa out.  Grendal goes up the ladder, flying body tackle to the floor that gets little of Pappa and he hits hard.  Grendal is up on his feet already, trayshot, moves the stairs, goes to the top rope and hits a 450 splash to the floor!  We get a replay of it.  Pappa is tossed in, Grendal whip reverse, ref is caught in a sandwich.  Grendal gets the trashcan, Van Damninator!  David Fury runs in and hits a facebreaker and a Juvy driver.  NOW that seems to have hurt him more than the other stuff.  Pappa moves to cover and gets two.  Pappa sit down piledriver wins it.  Some wild moves but Grendal doesn't act hurt when hit with something that should REALLY hurt.

WINNER:  Big Pappa pin -> 12:15 mins. **½

Chain & Weapon on a Pole Match
Denver Todd Stickrod vs. "Catalyst" Cory Carter - Man is that such a small facility.  Stickrod talks about his wife then bashes his opponent.  Stickrod attacks Carter before they are chained up.  He pounds way, slam, suplex, elbows.  Denver whip clothesline, side slam, he goes up, splash missed.  Ref chains Carter up, Denver attacks, corner smashing, rope burn, smash, Carter blocks and hurls him over the top.  Carter chains him up himself, match starts finally.  Slam Carter, suplex, twice, choke chain.  Carter whip clothesline.  Carter goes for the strap but gets DDT'ed down.  Denver pulls Carter for a clothesline.  Denver checks his phone for calls (WHY?) then hits him with it.  Carter nails him with the cell phone after he loses it.  Denver whip reverse spinebuster.  Stickrod goes for the strap and gets it.  Carter shoves him to the mat, Denver falls out.  Denver whips Carter with the belt, apron slams, Carter reverses one.  Denver rams into the wall, they go into the crowd.  Carter whips him, they go back in, Carter whips him some more, LOW BLOW Denver!  Carter gets dumped, but he puts the chain to the bottom rope.  Carter ties Stickrod's legs with the chain, Carter goes out and gets the phone.  He talks to Stickrod's wife about him being tied up then goes to the locker room and Chris Brown the ref throws it out for the NON-FINISH.  Uhhh...what?  If he doesn't want to finish the match then count him out!  LAAAAAAMMMMMEEEEE.

NO WINNER:  NO CONTEST ->  7 mins. ½*

Shane Griffin comes out next complaining about the man who's saying Justin MacIntyre is in his back pocket and calls out Ms. pNut.  Shane wants to know from her what's going on.  Deacon Hobbs runs in the ring and whacks him with a stick.  Justin runs him put but Shane Griffin Samoan drops him, completely oblivious to the commentary team saying WHO hit him with the stick.  Uh yeah, that's why you DON'T have commentary over the PA system.  The tape goes to a music highlight reel after this.

NGW Light Heavyweight Championship
(c)"Student of the Game" Russ Stevens w/ Rojo vs. Homeless Pedro - This masked Pedro brings a trash can to the ring, apparently his portable RV.  The light heavyweight title (which I consider the term light heavyweight to be an oxymoron) is currently an inactive title in NGW.  Russ wants the ref to spray 409 on Pedro.  Yeah.  Lockup, headlock shoveoff, hip toss Pedro, headlock.  Flying headscissors Pedro, tackle Russ, bearhug but PIT STOP by Pedro breaks it up.  Sunset flip attempt is blocked, Russ rams him in the corner, he kicks away.  Fameasser Russ gets one.  The wristbands come off, release German suplex Russ gets two.  Pedro kick, facebuster gets two.  Pedro whip clothesline, LOW BLOW Russ, toss out.  Neck snap Pedro, they're both outside, piggyback jawbreaker, toss in.  Russ is playing possum in the ring and small packages Pedro for two.  Russian legsweep Russ, looks like a sleeper.  Pedro gets a full-nelson Russian legsweep for two.  Pedro whip reverse forearm Russ gets two.  Russ puts on the sharpshooter, I wish the commentators would shut up, he makes the ropes.  Russ goes up, senton misses.  Russ charges, Pedro hits the HARD sunset flip.  Rojo trips Pedro, Russ squirts him with the 409, SCHOOL DAZE facebuster gets three.  Ref didn't hear the commentators either?  Quite slow and people in the ring oblivious to the commentary when stuff goes on just doesn't sit well with me.

WINNER and STILL CHAMP:  Russ Stevens pin -> 8:10 mins. *

Another set of opening credits are shown at this point.  Some goofy segment in between involving MacIntyre and a train follows.

NGW Tag Team Championship - Triple Threat

(c)Cody Cash & Johnny Justice vs. Scottie Keyes & Elmer vs. 2 Damn Bad - Jester & Sinnister - Elmer is wearing a hood and I couldn't believe who was said to be under it.  Cash & Justice seem to be playing off the Insane Clown Posse moniker, but sometime or another they ditched that look about them.  Big brawl to start the match, but things calm down enough to ring the bell.  Cash and Keyes start, headlocks and hairpulling, Cash armbar, reverse, snap mare, hip toss, chop, whip sunset move blocked, drop toe hold into a rollup gets one.  Superkick Keyes, Sinnister tags in, whip into a Samoan Drop by Sinnister gets two.  Sinnister whip clothesline, Justice tagged in, grab by the nose, Cash is tagged in and they try to pin themselves but it's broken up.  Elmer tagged in, full-nelson sitdown.  Keyes tries to dropkick Cash but gets Elmer, oops.  Tag Jester with a headslap.  Jester whip, ROCK BOTTOM, knocks off the tag champs and fetches a chair.  Keyes kicks it in Jester's face, rolling thunder on the chair, Elmer gets one.  Tag Justice, twist of fate, Boston crab attempted, but Sinnister chokeslams him.  Jester falcon arrow, tag Keyes, Sinnister tags Justice and clotheslines him.  Spinning heel kick on Sinnister by Keyes, whip drop kick, springboard drop kick, Jester clotheslines Keyes.  2 Damn Bad knock off the tag champs, DOOMSDAY DEVICE on Keyes but gets two.  Everyone's in the ring now, Elmer hits a backside slam, Justice hits a frogsplash on Elmer, double chokeslam Sinnister on Justice and it's over!

WINNERS and NEW CHAMPS:  2 Damn Bad pin -> 9:50 mins. **¾

Jester has the mike and says Chris Hazard is gonna take the title from Apocolypse, they cuss out everyone in the back.  Video goes to openers for each wrestler, for whatever reason.

Hardcore Match - Last Man Standing

Deacon Hobbs vs. Shane Griffin - First one to score a knockout wins.  The brawl begins as soon as Shane hits the ring, Hobbs whip clothesline Shane, elbow, second one missed.  Shane slugs away, clothesline to the WALL Shane.  Fight in the aisle, DDT on the floor!  Count gets to 5 as the commentary team stupidly forgets why someone would pause their attack, Shane rams him in the apron, he slugs away, drop kick on the floor, Shane on the apron, drops an elbow to the floor!  Shane fetches the kendo, WHACK!  He slaps Hobbs around, tosses him in, Hobbs tries for what is described as a clutch impaler (looked like a standing bulldog), double arm face breaker to the knee.  Shane fetches a table, Hobbs attacks, kendo shot, toss out, chairshot on the floor.  Flying elbow to the floor, Hobbs grabs...a phonebook?  He hits him with it, knees him, chairshots to the legs, ankle lock.  Hobbs fetches a second table, clutch impaler is hit this time.  Hobbs orders the ref to assist in setting up the second table and put up a two table stack.  Shane crotches Hobbs on the way back in, powerbomb attempt is blocked, fight on the apron, RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP through the tables by Shane!!!  Hobbs gets up first, back in, misses the kendo shot, side suplex Shane, kendo shot.  He ties Hobbs in the ropes, whacks him in the head.  Ref counts Hobbs, up at 7, Shane accidently hits the ref with the kendo stick.  Justin MacIntyre runs in wearing a ref shirt, ROCK BOTTOM on Shane, he shakes hands with Hobbs, but ROCK BOTTOM on Hobbs too!  Well he's mad at both of them.  The regular ref is revived, the second ref just watches all this go down, the count gets to eight.  Hobbs goes up, Shane grabs him for a Samoan Drop off the top rope!  Ref counts, Shane beats the count and gets the KO.  I saw a similar match to this a week ago, I just couldn't go much higher in stars here.

WINNER:  Shane Griffen KO -> 16:15 mins. **

NGW Heavyweight Championship
(c)Apocalypse 6'5" 310lbs. Death Valley, CA w/ JP vs. Chris Hazard 6'1" 235lbs. Las Vegas, NV - Lockup, armbars traded, kick Apoc, whip elbow.  Hazard bails and stalls like mad, Apoc attacks him, apron ram, toss in, elbow neck and back.  Ram into the wall, Hazard takes a chair from a fan, Apoc steals it and chairshots him, toss in gets two.  Butterfly suplex Apoc, T-Bone suplex, suplex into a facebuster gets two.  Apoc whip reverse tilt-a-whirl slam Hazard, SPEAR to the corner, works him over.  Apoc jumps over another spear and gets a rollup for two.  Apoc DDT, JP up to argue.  Hazard with the F5 meltdown gets two! Elbows, Hazard up, elbow off the second rope gets two.  Hazard to the second rope, he yaks then misses the moonsault way off.  Apoc inverted DDT across the knee then the mat.  Apoc chokeslam, JP jumps up again and argues with the ref, they get into a shoving match, JP slaps him and the ref DQ's him.  Uh, LLLAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEE.

WINNER:  Chris Hazard DQ -> 6:45 mins. **¼

Why jump on the apron if your guy is winning?  That served NO purpose.  Hazard is unhappy then spears the ref and pounds him to the mat.  Not a good way to end the show.

Afterward, it's a music video featuring all the highlights of End Game.  After the tape ends, I see why there was dead air in between segments, it was the hard drive loading WMV files off of Windows Media Player.  I dunno if I would had put together my tape that way but whatever.

The Verdict:  I can't make a recommendation of this show, this is supposed to be one of their "PPV-like" events but some of this was set up like their episodic weekly shows.  The main event was a disappointment, some other stuff I just didn't like all that much.  The triple threat tag was your match of the tape, but don't go out of your way to see it.

Thumbs leaning down.
