The Rap Sheet - by the Crimefighter
Special Streaming Video Edition #10
7/31/2K3

Finally I found another batch of videos, and really hit the jackpot by finding eight bouts from one promotion on one site, though it's in Japanese. But the Japanese stuff is very long so I'm gonna save it for #11 and do all the recently found American stuff for this edition.

This is from Assault Championship Wrestling on 7/19/2K3, file is located at: http://www.assaultwrestling.com/media-tv/highspeed/tv07192003.asf at a 95K bit rate. The site owners rather I didn't post a direct link to the file, but they change episodes quicker than I recap these and the files remain on the server a bit longer than said to be. Be sure to visit the site from the regular address at http://www.assaultwrestling.com

Show begins with a quick redown of the show, then an ad for Jason Knight's Power Station wrestling school. Mike Milano is in the ring running his mouth that he's gonna horsewhip Jonny Promo. He gets to his woman, Mercedes Martinez, who's fighting a Japanese wrestler that he'll stay out of. Dylan Kage has the mike, he gripes about Johnny Thundar and the loss of his gal Talia. He's gonna do whatever it takes to get her back. I have yet to find out how she decided to split from the crime family in the first place. Someone's music hits, it's Jonny Promo. He admits he's not a wrestler, but he'll be fighting Milano later, and as his possible last act as commish, he names Bulldog Branski as special referee. Ad for tctapes.net airs.

Pepsi Boy vs. Kaguchi - Geez, what kind of dumb gimmick is that? PEPSI BOY? He even has the Pepsi logo on his chest and claims to be a Japanese import. Kaguchi gets a headlock right away. Shove Pepsi Boy who takes shoulder blocked down, monkey flip by Pepsi Boy. Kaguchi slaps him, then tries to hip toss him and fails, neckbreaker by Pepsi Boy, he ties up Kaguchi's legs then kicks him in the head. Cover for two. Kaguchi with a big DDT gets two. Kaguchi slugs away, sit down slam, leg drop gets two. To the corner, chops, whip, clothesline Kaguchi gets two. Kaguchi with a whip, misses clotheslines, crossbody by Pepsi Boy gets two. Ram into the turnbucker by Pepsi Boy, to the middle rope, tornado DDT! Whip reverse, Pepsi Boy hops over Kaguchi, northern lights suplex gets two. Pepsi Boy puts Kaguchi on the top rope, superplex blocked, Kaguchi fights him, DIAMOND DUST gets three! Not as bad as I thought it was going to be.

WINNER: Kaguchi pin -> 4:20 mins. *½

Battle Royal ACW TV Championship

All right, this is joined in progress and I don't have a list of participants. I requested one, but no one bothered to answer so if anyone's gonna gripe about me not getting the names right, too bad, you had your chance and ignored me. Looks to be about twelve guys in there. I get SOME of the names during the match: Bobby Panther, Damien Darkside, Dan Rage, Scotty Charisma, Red Hot Russ, Chino Martinez, Dave Donovan, Mike Xylas, Kenny Cassanova, Wiqued. Too much fighting in the ring to call, just that everyone's slugging away at each other. Shabba White walks by, not in the match. Music hits and Vic Gun'R hits the ring who apparently wasn't scheduled for the match either. Everyone has their attention to him. Two guys get pitched immeadiately. A third guy is clotheslined over. Wiqued is tossed. Gunner gets rid of a fifth guy. A seventh is tossed by Gun'R. Bobby Panther throws Dan Rage out. Panther is tossed by Russ. Gun'R press slammed someone out, then clotheslined someone out. For no reason whatsoever, Gun'R jumps over the top rope and leaves. Doesn't he want to be the TV champion??? He's all brawn and no brains. Oh they claim he was just trying to prove a point. Yeah, we already KNOW he's big and he's bad, but when all is said and done what the heck does he have to show for it? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Shabba White gets in the ring WAY LATE, and fouls up jumping over the top. Russ clotheslines White down. Gun'R threw a fan in the ring apparently off camera. The referee is no where as Scotty sends White flying over the top rope. It's Red Hot Russ and Scotty left, pumphandle T-bone by Russ. Whip reversed, Russ is forearmed over the top rope. White is back in, even though he was eliminated. White with an elbow, stumbles around, gut wrenches Scotty over, drop kick to the head nearly missing completely. Scotty reverses some move by the drunken White and hits a Russian leg sweep getting a pinfall in an over the top rope battle royal. What a mess of a match, and battle royals are usually not rated.

WINNER and NEW CHAMP: Scotty Charisma pin -> 7:55 mins. N/A

Mike E. Milano w/ Dylan Kage vs. Commissioner Jonny Promo - Your referee is Bulldog Blanski. This is for full ownership of the company and geez, didn't anyone remember how bad the last ownership of the company match Vince McMahon vs. Ric Flair was? Both these guys are making their in ring debuts, another bad omen. Milano chopblocks Promo's leg. Milano stomps away, then bashes the leg on the apron and the post. Figure four Milano! Well we're seeing similiarities from the WWE match in this one. Promo makes the ropes. LOW BLOW Promo! Promo slugs away in the corner, Milano reverses and chops away. Whip to the corner and into Bulldog, knocking Promo down. Milano covers, Bulldog counts one and stops. Milano gets in Bulldog's face, then Bulldog splashes Promo in the corner. Milano covers Promo and Bulldog counts a fast three and hands him ownership on a silver platter. Yep, just as bad as Flair vs. McMahon. Milano was pretty much squashing Promo from start to finish making the help and heel turn from Bulldog unnecessary.

WINNER: Mike E. Milano pin -> 3:10 mins. DUD

Bulldog pulls off his shirt and reveals he's the newest member of the crime family. Milano gloats like mad. Logo for La Familia rules the world and a graphic on the next event. Show over. Sheesh this episode was almost total crap. We got the episode for the following week, and they raised the video bit rate to 298K. http://www.indytvnetwork.com/assaulttv/tv07262003h.asf

Show begins with a promo for an upcoming show, where Mike Milano is running the company in that horrible takeover match. Ad for the Powerstation again.

ACW Jr. Heavyweight Championship

Edwards out, Jim chases, back in, run of the ropes, side rock bottom by Nastic gets two. Irish whip, clothesline over the top rope Nastic. Nastic out, slugs on Edwards, tries a piledriver on the concrete padio of the cafe, Edwards back drops him. Edwards throws away a barbed wire chair and puts Nastic back in to cover for two. Knee to the back, to the apron, elbow shot, kick in the corner, Irish whip Edwards, Nastic rolls him up for two. Edwards tries to yank Nastic out of the corner, ends up being yanked into the turnbuckle, but Edwards clotheslines Nastic. Edwards slaps him, but Jim fires back, Edwards hits back, tries a suplex, small package Nastic gets one. Edwards takes down Nastic again covers for two. Snap mare, front face lock Edwards. Nastic up elbows out, runs the ropes, impaler DDT. Nastic slugs Edwards, clotheslines, Irish whip, reversed, another clothesline Nastic. Nastic on the middle rope, Edwards hits him, here comes the running piggyback stunner, TWO COUNT! Edwards sets him up for the same move, Nastic out, fireman's carry slam Nastic but only gets two. Nastic up again, whip reverse, goes for the same move again, Edwards gets out, charge Nastic, back body drop over the top rope to the apron, Edwards gets shoulderblocked, sunset flip, Edwards sits and holds the middle rope, the referee doesn't bother to see if he let go and counts three.

Talia on the apron, Kage pulls her in, Talia talks her way out of it and makes up with Kage, but low blows him, Acid Drop Talia, Thunderstruck Thunder gets three! Milano cusses up a storm and says cause he's the owner the match must be restarted. You know, it should be federal statue that someone can't operate as the owner of the company and manage wrestlers at the same time to prevent conflicts of interest. Kage jaws at Talia, slap Talia, Kage slaps her down. Kage gets a chair, puts it under the chin and jams it on Thunder. Toss in, Kage gets in with a bag and puts it over Thunder's head to suffocate him and gets DQ'ed. Milano throws Big Sal out of the ring. Ending video of Kage with the belt.

WINNER and STILL CHAMP: Johnny Thunder DQ -> 15:20 mins. shown. ***

Moving on to World Championship Wrestling out of Georgia.

WCW Heavyweight Championship

(c)Hulk Hogan vs. Lex Luger - This is the infamous match on Nitro where Hulk Hogan defended his title for the first time in FOUR MONTHS! Hulk Hogan was notorious for breaking the 30-day mandatory defense rule and no one was willing to make an effort to enforce it. Whether he was face or heel, he broke that rule multiple times, and the whole promotion suffered from it. Vince Russo years later had enough and fired Hogan. Luger had to get a court order to get him to defend the belt NOW. Joined in progress, hammerlock into the ropes by Luger, break. Lockup, shove Luger. Skip ahead, Hogan hits an elbow.
