Now that I have Windows XP and the latest version of Windows Movie Maker, I've been having a bit of fun playing with the thing with video I shot, perhaps sometime I will be permitted to share streaming videos I make with the masses in conjunction with a group. We start out today with a classic match from www.wrestlinghit.com from WCW. This is from one of the last few Clash of the Champions shows before Thunder came along.

WCW Cruiserweight Championship

(c)Rey Mysterio, Jr. vs. Dean Malenko -- Your referee is the late Randy Anderson. Dean attacks and suplexes him, snap mare, double elbow, whip and Rey bails. Dean chases but gets bumped into the turnbuckle, drop kick off the middle rope, flying headscissors outside. Dean in, Rey with a whip arm drag, moonsault off the middle rope gets one. Rey does a 619 to psyche out Dean on the outside. Dean back in charges and gets tripped. Rey whip reverse Dean does a powerbomb into a stun gun! Dean with a brainbuster gets two. Dean REALLY should come out of retirement for a farewell run in the WWE cause he just quit the sport with no fanfare for those of us who admired the man of 1000 holds. Dean with an armbar Rey tries a sunset flip then a rollup for one. Dean snap mare, rear headlock. Rey gets up, Dean with a knee to the gut from a charge. Ad break. Dean with a whip, Rey hops on the top, jockeying for position and Rey gets a rollup bridge for two. Dean spinebuster, then an ankle lock, Rey rolls it over to the ropes. Dean whip and tosses Rey in the air, gets two on a cover. Dean pickup, whip but Rey sends Dean out, drop kick, 360 suicide dive. Rey whip reverse, Rey moonsaults off the rail, nearly crashing headfirst. Springboard dropkick Rey gets two. Rey whip reverse, tilt-a-whirl but Dean slips and nearly gets pinned. Rey off the second rope hurraconranna gets two. Rey chops away, Dean slugs away, whip reverse, Rey is caught, fireman's carry on the top rope, Dean throws him up for a nasty gut wrencher. Cover gets three, but Anderson sees Rey's foot on the ropes and restarts the match, Dean thinking he's won has the belt but gets victory rolled up for three.

WINNER and STILL CHAMP: Rey Mysterio, Jr. pin -> 9:30 mins. shown. ***

For the first time in quite a while, something new was posted from ICW in North Carolina, and this is a bout that took place on September 6th, 2003. Unfortunately after the first day the link for the match has been taken down and I don't have the direct link now to the file. Those who want to see the match can still do that, but they are charging two bucks for the download among other bouts at www.icwpro.com. Ironically they are charging two bucks for something I reviewed from them in the second edition of the streaming video series but the direct link to the file still works allowing you to still get it for free.

ICW Heavyweight Championship
(c) "Mean" Marc Ash 6'1" 220lbs. Myrtle Beach, SC vs. Duke Richards 5'7" 215lbs. Parts Unknown - Duke brings in a bat with barbed wire wrapped around it. Ash has been nursing an injured foot, where he's had a problem with his Achilles tendon of which he's only been able to stand on it for no more than five minutes at a time and it hadn't been getting better last he reported. He has been keeping the condition of the foot a secret and hadn't cancelled out any dates but has taken no new bookings either. So let's see how he fares here. Ash attacks Richards from behind and stomps on him like crazy, Ash whip clothesline Richards gets two. Duke is hardcore. Duke bites him in the corner, forearm shots, whip splash Duke. Ash is down, Duke chop on the ropes, turnbuckle smash in three corners before Ash reverses it. Ash suplex, superkick, chop in the corner, kickaway, whip to the corner, knee missed Duke but gets the turnbuckle. Duke with a bulldog gets two but they're in the ropes. Duke with a headlock, Ash shoveoff, shoulderblock, splash Duke gets two. Duke makes a wish and stomps him low. Richards with a rear chinlock, then a sitdown. Figure four Richards, way too close to the ropes, Ash turns it over but Duke grabs a rope immeadiately for the break. Ash with a kick to the head, makes a wish and knees him low. Ash whip to the corner, the ref stupidly gets in front of a charging Ash and gets crushed. Ash powerbombs Richards, but of course the ref is out of commission. Ash tries to wake the ref up, Commissioner Don Brower comes in to count a rollup by Richards and gets three! Marc Ash is MAD and decides to beat the crap out of the referee, slamming him to the mat and repeatedly dropping elbows until Dark Starr runs in to stop him. Ash would wrestle Dark Starr later on the same show so I guess the foot held up. Match isn't what I'd pay two bucks to see by itself.

WINNER and NEW CHAMP: Duke Richards pin -> 5:35 mins. **

Nerima-ku, Toyko, Japan - Well I'd tell you who's aligned with which group, but with the musical jumping and trading of team members around it's a bit difficult, but if it's any help this match took place on 9/30/2K1. The Dragon Kid wrestled in WCW as the Little Dragon. Darkness Dragon started his career without the mask as Makoto Saito, but when he lost a loser-leaves-town match he comes back under a mask, and currently calls himself K-ness. The rules for this match are as follows, five men start, the last one left inside the cage after everyone else escapes loses his hair or his mask. Features of the cage, each corner has a chin-up bar and you can move sideways across the top with a handy gap in the fencing. Someone causes a ruckus outside of the cage that the referees break up. Three minutes left. Magnum has Masa in the corner, CIMA breaks it up. Masa appears to have low-blowed CIMA, then puts on a figure four. Butterfly suplex Magnum on Darkness. Toyko with a leglock on Darkness. Masa snap mare on Tokyo and a kick. Darkness leglocks Toyko.
