The Rap Sheet - from the Crimefighter
New Midwest Wrestling Final Reckoning II
2/28/2K4 - Bradfordton, IL

The string of luck continues...

First off, a note about the win-loss records. Ever since the promotion started up in April 2002 under the new name of New Midwest Wrestling, I've been for the heck of it compiling the records of each wrestler on the roster. It took a little while to refine it so it's a fair read on statistics, but I managed to get it done. One of the matches from the December's show was called "Naughty or Nice", where two wrestlers started the match, then as boxes were opened around the ring, more wrestlers entered the match seeking out the $1000 check in one of the remaining boxes. Five wrestlers were in the match, only one could win, and four others lose. Quinten Tyler who has a 2-6 record before tonight protests the inclusion of one of those losses, that being the "Naughty or Nice" match because of what kind of match it was. NMW President Jason Devall has stated that the match shouldn't count against anyone or for the winner cause it was for the check and his amusement. So, despite my dubiousness feelings on the matter, I have subtracted a loss from four men, and a win from one. It did not move anyone around in the top ten however, so if anyone gripes about the change they can talk to Quinten. *shrug*

Your ring announcer is Jimmy "The Bruiser" Osbourne. Before the show began, they aired a highlight video of the match between Billy Morgan and Earl Grissom, then LPC's attack on Grissom. Rip Mystic's return was also shown, along with Madman's attack, which fans were bizarrely cheering. Finally the title change between Real World Jeremy and Tom Arson. Jimmy gives an announcement that no one should be copycatting anything the wrestlers do. Who's doing the copycatting?

Tom Arson comes out for an interview. They need to let the entrance videos play a bit longer than they are doing. Someone shouts you suck, he says you suck shut up! HE'S talking and you're listening. It's a privilege for you to see him with the belt on his shoulder cause he's me, and you're not. He did what he said he'd do and didn't need anyone (except Mikey). Arson says RWJ's back there with his neck hurting. He says he wasn't in a good mood until a week ago, when he found out he has to fight three people. All three are unworthy, blah blah blah. None of them are half the worker that RWJ was. He's protesting the match, so he's gonna injure someone. Arson says enjoy the show with the parts that he's in, and the rest he doesn't care what you do, cause he's Tom Arson and you're not. And Arson acts like Chevy Chase.

"The UNDERachiever" Billy Morgan (8-6) 5'10" 172lbs. Riverton, IL w/ Kev G vs. Tricky Dick Moore (1-2) 5'10" 180lbs. Beaverdale, PA - This is a rematch from two weeks ago. Tricky Dick has new music, and it MOST DEFINATELY doesn't fit him at all. I'm missing Run DMC here. The Colonel is the referee. Armdrag Billy, hip toss, slam. Dick with an armdrag, hip toss and slam. Billy backs off in the corner, Dick pulls a little bottle out of his tights, powders up his hands then chops away. Heh, that's cute. Bill flips him over, chops away weakly, Dick comes back with even HARDER chops. Billy yanks Moore out of the ring and chops him some more on the floor. They get back in, Moore whip back body drop gets two. Morgan with a poke, suplex gets two. Billy chokes him on the ropes. Whip reverse Dick with the clothesline, a second, suplex gets two. Dick with a whip, powerslam Billy gets two. Billy whip double clothesline, Billy comes to first, goes for the Sliced Bread #2 but Moore blocks it then there's a messy tripup botched move by Moore that gets two. Whip corner clothesline Moore gets two. Morgan with a LOW BLOW on the referee! Spinning neckbreaker by Moore, Kev G comes in with a chair, Moore intercepts it and blasts Kev and Billy with it, revives the ref and gets three for the upset win. Ah, they have Run DMC playing as Tricky celebrates. Billy Morgan pissed off that he lost superkicks Kev G! Well Morgan has got no one in his corner now, he attacked Cherry Malone, JJ Tank got injured while training, now Kev G has KO'ed.

WINNER: Tricky Dick Moore pin -> (2-2) 7:40 mins. **

Toga Steve comes out for the next segment. He says last month two frustrating things happened to him. The first thing was being accused of taking out Benz, he understands why Cash was mad, so it's okay. The second thing was that he challenged Guy Smith to a match and got blew off like he didn't exist. He's ordering Smith to get in the ring with him right now. Guy Smith and Cherry Malone come out. Smith though is a bit injured from the match two weeks ago when he hurt his neck. Smith wants Jason Devall out here too. Smith complains that the main event does not involve Guy Smith and he's not booked at all tonight. Devall says he's right, so he makes a match for a heavyweight title. Smith says that's how things get done around here, cause he's the moneymaker. Devall says it's against Toga Steve. Toga says he'll see him later tonight superstar.

"The Marvel" Shane Matthews (0-2) 6'0" 195lbs. Atlantic City, GA vs. Mr. Elite (0-1) ?'??" 220lbs. Minneapolis, MN - Shane was one of the four guys I subtracted a loss from. What makes him Elite anyway? Lockup, armbar Elite, hammerlock, Shane gets the ropes. Lockup, drop toe hold Shane, hammerlock Elite. They trade hammerlocks, takedown Shane, rollup Elite gets two, then they trade pincovers. Belly to belly slam Elite gets two. Rib breaker Elite gets two, camel clutch...but he lets go. Uh, that hold usually works if you hold it long enough, just ask the Iron Sheik. Elite with a whip, rollup Shane gets two. Choke on the ropes by Elite, suplex gets two. Small package Shane gets two. Turnbuckle smash Elite, choke. Whip Shane jumps Elite, armdrag, drop kick. Elite with a rake and bails out. Baseball slide drop kick Shane. MOONSAULT catches Elite from the top rope to the floor! EGAD! Toss in, hurraconranna is blocked, Elite with a powerbomb gets two. Slugfest in the ring, Benz is out here on the apron! Neckbreaker Elite, ref is checking Shane when Benz neck snaps Elite. Shane with a rollup and pins him! First win for Shane! Elite tries to attack Benz but gets a neckbreaker into Benz's side. What is that move anyway?

WINNER: "The Marvel" Shane Matthews pin -> (1-2) 8:50 mins. ***

Red (0-0) 5'9" 197lbs. Decatur, IL w/ Coop & Peter McDonald Sanders vs. Hardcore KC (0-4) 5'7" 170lbs. Kansas City, MO - KC suffered a quick defeat under four minutes a week ago. Drive Thru has a cooler with them, and drinks inside. Orange Gatorade. Jimmy points out his fan is over there. If PMS picks on the MMB Fan Club I'm gonna get after him. Shoulderblock Red, clothesline KC, hip toss KC, drop kick, Red bails and gets a drink. Side suplex KC, slam, suplex. Red bails out again, KC chases him. Coop with a clothesline on the floor, slam on the apron. Red with a suplex gets two, sunset flip KC gets two. Backslide gets two, small package KC gets two. Whip LOW BLOW Red, legdrop Red, second rope elbow gets two. Slam Red, elbow, he goes up, KC crotches him. Superplex KC gets two. Whip side elbow KC, whip KC, Red grabs him and telegraphs heavily what Coop tries next, he BLASTS someone with the cooler...except Red got hit. And geez, the thing is STYROFOAM! KC drop kick, whip punch to the back, some form of the neckbreaker that looked botched up gets KC the win. Man KC's music is full of cuss words.

WINNER: Hardcore KC pin -> (1-4) 5:55 mins. **

Central Illinois Championship
(c)"The Cruiserweight Redneck" Earl Grissom (8-8-0-1) 5'10" 170lbs. Rushville, IL vs. The Freshman (1-2) 5'8" 135lbs. Carbondale, IL - So the freshman has moved up from bantamweight and is now a lightweight. How'd Matt get in title contention? Oh wait, that's not Grissom, it's LPC. LPC says he was supposed to win the title last month, and since Devall didn't book him tonight he decided to take care of this problem and points to the video wall. The footage is from last night apparently, and LPC blasts him with a chair as Earl was coming in the building. LPC thinks what he did was awesome, and since Earl isn't here tonight he's defending the title that should be his. He can't defend a title he doesn't have!

The Freshman (1-2) 5'8" 135lbs. Carbondale, IL vs. Lucious P. Cotrain (8-4) 5'10" 230lbs. Land of Lucious - Well now we have a rematch from last week at Club 217. Lockup, headlock LPC, Matt escapes. Headlock takdown LPC, waistlock Boston, takedown LPC, hip toss. Matt with a shoulder throw, LPC with a suplex. Matt with a suplex! Dang the Freshman suplexes someone twice as heavy as him. Slam LPC. Matt tries to slam LPC but can't lift him this time, so he clips the knee. LPC with a rake, whip crash in the corner. LPC slugs away, whip sideslam gets one. LPC whip, drop kick Boston and they both go outside opposite ends of the ring. Matt chases LPC but gets kicked, railed, and staired. Back in, whip sleeper hold LPC which is not locked in properly at all. Matt gets out of it, whip LPC goes back to the sleeper and still doesn't have it locked it proper. Matt elbows out, LPC back to the sleeper hold a third time and still has it on wrong. Rear headlock with an hand on his face instead of the forehead. Jawbreaker Matt, hurraconranna, drop toe hold, and he locks in the sharpshooter but LPC's in the ropes. LPC with a rake, rope burn. Whip drop kick to the knee by Matt gets two. Matt goes up but gets a clothesline on the way down. Fisherman's suplex LPC gets two. Rollup Matt gets two, small package, OK roll gets two. LPC does some move on Matt that looked horribly botched and unrecognizable, maybe a form of an arm slam, but pins him with it. Somehow I think I'm rating this one too high with the moves blown by LPC here. Matt made an excellent accounting for himself though.

WINNER: Lucious P. Cotrain pin -> (9-4) 10:55 mins. **¾

"New World" Quinten Tyler (2-5) 5'11" 230lbs. Denver, CO vs. "Mr. Hollywood" Stan Sallinger (1-5) 6'3" 260lbs. Hollywood Hills, CA - I officially retire the overthrown president title for Stan. Quinten gives away his shades and autographs them for a kid in front of me. Stan teases doing the same but keeps the shades instead. Haha. Someone with a sign wants Stan to go home, and then a bunch of people turn their backs to him. I should point out there's a really loudmouthed member of the crowd tonight that's NOT me REALLY jeering certain wrestlers. Quinten NEEDS to get his own custom shirt instead of the RWJ shirt, such as the NWQ logo I made for him, cause half the time I keep mistaking him for Jeremy. Quinten has also protested one of those credited defeats, which I did take off. Lockup, Quinten kicks Stan. Whip reverse rollup Quinten gets two. Flying punch to the head by Quinten gets two. Hip toss NWQ, neckbreaker gets two. Side suplex Stan, whip side slam gets two. Snap mare, rear chinlock Stan, choke, slam gets two. Whip hip toss Stan, elbow gets two. Stan whip reverse belly to belly slam gets two for Quinten. Quinten kick, gets caught attempting a splash, Razor's fallaway slam gets Stan two. Stan whip clothesline, camel clutch. There's a "hot dog Stan" chant going. Legdrop Stan gets two. Stan suplex is blocked, triple suplexes Quinten. Whip Quinten hits a messed up looking spinebuster. Quinten with the stance, goes for the pedigree, it's blocked with a LOW BLOW! Stan goes for the spinning full nelson slam but Quinten escapes it and it's KICK WHAM PEDIGREE to end it. Quinten personally rates his performance at 50*'s.

WINNER: New World Quinten Tyler pin -> (3-5) 8:30 mins. **¾

Jimmy "The Bruiser" gives away a pair of tickets to the March show. They draw my number! Certain members of the crowd groan. First the WWE tickets, then the limo ride, then another pair of tickets. Now I have to worry about even more people claiming my head's getting bigger.

Logan whip reverse crossbody caught, tag Bishop, double team shoulderbreaker! Punches to the gut, flatliner Bishop! Logan and Jakob fight outside. EDS whip Bishop elbow. Bishop goes for the DVD again, but turns it into a flapjack! Logan is in a heap on the floor, Bishop goes up but gets crotched. Jakob pulls Logan off, EDS hurraconranna off the top rope gets two. EDS whip elbow Bishop, slugfest. EDS with the UNPRETTIER! And here comes the Mississippi Madman to interrupt. The cult stares at Jackson, Logan and EDS stand behind and shove the cult into him. Madman lets them go and we see RON's got a new recruit, Logan goes after Madman, Madman clobbers them both and draws the DQ. Double chokeslam by Madman. Airplane spin and Samoan Drop on Logan. EDS with a crossbody off the top but gets slammed down. Madman waits for Logan, another double chokeslam. Double chokeslam on EDS. This goes on a while and I'm pissed. Screwed out of the titles for the third straight month, all this did was keep them the #1 contenders. Jakob with a spinning DDT and Razor's Edge.

WINNERS: Tuff-N-Stuff DQ -> (3-1) 15:50 mins. ***½

#1 Contenders Match for Heavyweight Title
"Toga" Steve Fisher (3-5-1) 5'10" 240lbs. Carbondale, IL vs. "Alpha Male" Guy Smith (17-7) 6'0" 255lbs. Rapid City, SD w/ Cherry Malone - Since Smith hasn't gone to MPW in a long time I'm dropping the Heavy Hitter moniker. Quinten Tyler is for some reason desperately trying to fix me up with Cherry, including trying to get me to put messages on her answering machine from his own cell phone. It got so bad I was practically going to run away screaming. More on that later. The title of "#1 Contenders Match" is just a misnomer in my mind, while a wrestler may win one of these, it doesn't make them the statistical #1 contender, so what's really on the line is a title shot. Only problem is, Sage Ramsey won a title shot two weeks ago in an 18-man rumble supposedly to take place at Rivalry. The man Sage eliminated last in the Rumble, Guy Smith suffered a banged up neck two weeks ago and was questionable to play tonight. Lockup and we get nothing. Lockup, headlock Toga. Shoulderblock Toga, lengthy jockeying for position until Guy bails. Lockup, hammerlock Guy, armbar Toga, hammerlock Guy, headlock takedown Toga. Guy hammerlock, armbar Toga, then we get a test of strength, then a slugfest. Whip Guy elbow, choke on the ropes. Cherry joins in but gets caught by the ref. Match continues, snap mare Guy, Toga elbows out, drop kick Guy gets two. Suplex Guy, elbow gets two. Guy stomps away, suplex is blocked, Toga suplex gets two. Slam Toga, elbow gets two. Toga whip corner splash gets two. Toga whip reversed weak splash from Smith, choke in the corner, whip splash missed. Turnbuckle smash, Toga back body drops Guy over the top! OUCH. Choke by Toga on the floor, Guy with a slam, apron smash, post ram, elbow on the apron, toss in. Guy with the camel clutch but Toga gets the rope. Guy pounds away, whip side slam gets two. Choke Smith, sleeper hold broken up with a side suplex from Toga. Back breaker Smith, rear chinlock, sit down move gets the knees. Overhead suplex gets two for Toga. Whip piledriver Guy gets two. Slugfest, KO punch Toga gets two. Whip reverse Saluki Hammer gets two. Guy yanks Toga into the turnbuckle. Guy puts Toga up, superplex blocked, axe to the head gets Toga two. Gut breaker Toga gets one. Texas Cloverleaf Toga, axe back, rear chinlock, Guy gets the rope. Slingshot sunset flip Guy gets two. Clothesline Toga, HAZING spinning neckbreaker...gets two. Cherry yanked the referee out! Hey that's James Welden ref'ing. Cherry jumps in the ring and on Toga's back, he flips her down hard, puts her in position for the hazing, but Guy Smith blasts Toga with a chair. Referee is tossed back in and counts three. WHERE'S THE FREAKIN' DQ FOR YANKING THE REF OUT??? I'm SO sick of that finish!

WINNER: "Alpha Male" Guy Smith pin -> (18-7) 20:45 mins. ****

Jason Devall comes out angry, he makes a lot of decisions that don't make people happy but he's gonna make a decision right now that will make a lot of people happy. He apologizes to James Welden and overturns the decision. Finally.

WINNER: Toga Steve DQ -> (4-5-1) 20:45 mins. ****

Guy Smith is LIVID and cusses up a storm. He screams at him that he's busted his butt and Devall's taken everything away from him, but Smith is better than everyone in this promotion, so he quits! Devall says fine, get outta here. Danger Doug Fraze comes out and tries to talk him out of it. We find out later when Smith went to the back he said "Why did I say THAT?" and was caught up in the moment. He did not sign any resignation papers and wrestled at Club 217 for the weekly show three days later. The video wall plays a commercial for NMW Warfare at Club 217 on Tuesday nights, then plays of all things a Quiznos commercial! The heck? They bought a TV ad? Weird. On to the main event.

NMW Heavyweight Championship - Fatal Four Way Elimination

(c)"Trendsetter" Tom Arson (9-9) 6'5" 260lbs. St. Louis, MO vs. Scotty Cash (7-8-1) 5'9" 170lbs. "Yo Momma's House" vs. Danger Doug Fraze (4-6-1) 6'6" 270lbs. Chicago, IL vs. Sage Ramsey (8-7) 6'4" 249lbs. Peoria, IL - Fraze has one defeat removed due to protest from Quinten. Everyone takes turns posing with the belt. Sage & Danger start. Lockup, break, twice. Tag Cash. Slugfest between Cash & Doug. Doug tags Arson, he slugs away, whip bulldog Cash. Cash tags Sage. Sage pounds away on Arson, headbutt (guess the effects from the concussion are gone), armwringer, tag Cash. Whip clothesline Cash gets two. Cash pounds away, legdrop. Cash tries to tag Doug but he refuses. Arson with a suplex, then knocks Sage off. Arson whip, Cash tags Sage, slam by Sage. Arson pounds Sage, tag Cash, whip dropkick gets two. Cash tags Doug when he wasn't looking, now Arson and Fraze are in. Arson gets the mike, oh what's this about. Arson says we shouldn't let these two guys beat up on us, so he wants a truce and team up with Doug to beat these guys. Fraze says this is a title shot and it's his turn to wear the belt. Arson with a slap, clothesline Doug. Whip clothesline Doug gets two. Doug tags Cash. Cash slams Arson for two. Doug jumps in, Sage goes after Doug, Cash and Arson fight. Each side does the ten punch count. Cash tosses Arson out. Sage pounds Doug in the corner, Cash slingshot crossbody on Arson. Doug SPEARS Sage. The referee says Sage and Doug are the legal men now. Arson drops Cash on the stairs. Doug with a hair neckbreaker gets two. Danger pickup, whip clothesline, legdrop gets two. Tag Arson without Doug's permission. Arson headbutt and they're BOTH out. Arson pickup, whip reverse hip toss Sage, tag Cash. Cash knocks everyone down, Cash gets two. Cash suplex blocked, Arson with a suplex. Doug tags Arson's back and stands on Cash's throat and WALKS on it! Geez. Fraze STANDS on his heck, Cash rollup gets two. Danger pickup, whip clothesline. Doug teases a tag, but Cash lunges for Sage tags him and pounds away. Whip clothesline Sage on Fraze. Sage hurt his arm. Sage backbreaker gets two. 12:30 minutes passed. Sage pickup, Doug LOW BLOW! Man I'd wear a groin guard if I actually did any wrestling for NMW. Doug with a suplex. Fraze moves slowly, pickup, BAM LAST RIDE! Arson tags Fraze and gets a two count. Steal a fall will ya Arson? Arson whip boot missed, clothesline Sage gets two. Sage whip side slam gets two. Sage goes for the chokeslam but Arson with a rake, Doug tags in. Sage goes for the FINAL FALL and hits it! One count and Arson breaks it up. Doug with a rollup and pins Sage...no way!

Sage Ramsey...you ARE the weakest link...goodbye! Doug Fraze is now (5-6-1), Sage is (8-8) at 16 minutes. This block gets about ***½.

Cash is in for Sage, Sage takes a parting shot before leaving. Cash whip flying forearm shot gets two on Doug. Cash whip reverse Doug side slam. Fraze one arm cover gets two. Arson wants Fraze to help double team. Danger tags Arson, double whip double hip toss. Doug elbows Arson before he leaves. Arson kicks Cash. Arson shoulderblocks, snap mare, kick to the back. Doug slams Cash. Doug elbow gets two. Danger wants to tag Arson, he's afraid to do so. Doug tags Arson with a guarantee he won't turn on him. Double whip double clothesline. Arson slugs Fraze and tosses him out, who almost fell on his head. Arson whip off the ropes, elbowdrop. Arson flying elbow missed. Rear chinlock Arson. The pop says this is getting boring. Arson stomps away. Arson with a full-nelson slam! Cash with a small package, no count. Arson works Cash in the corner, whip reverse backbodydrop. Doug is tagged in. Doug stands on Cash's back. Arson throws a chair in, Danger tries a LAST RIDE on the chair but Cash reverses with a sunset flip and pins him!

Danger Doug Fraze...you ARE the weakest link...goodbye! Scotty Cash is now (8-8-1), Doug is (5-7-1) at 26 minutes. Cause the pop almost fell asleep, I can safely say it was about *.

Danger jumps back in, whip side slam on the chair. Sore loser. Cash's back is now wrecked, besides being exhausted. Arson with a pickup and pounds him down. Arson signals for the piledriver, pounds him in the gut. Arson snaps Cash's knee on the ropes! Arson goes to work on that foot, goes for the figure four and locks it in and grabs the ropes for extra torque until he gets caught. Arson pickup, whack to the back. Arson taunts him. Slingshot into the top rope Arson. 30 minutes have passed. Arson neckbreaker gets two! Armdrag Arson, crossarm breaker applied. Whip puts his head down, Arson kicks him, then hits the LIBERTY SPIKE! Arson goes for it a second time and BAM, hits it more on the side of the shoulder but gets three. It's over. This block gets about ** so we'll split the difference and call it...

WINNER and STILL CHAMP: "Trendsetter" Tom Arson pin -> (10-9) 34:20 mins. **¼

Match was high energy in the first half or so, but really slowed down once Sage was eliminated and the heels double teamed Scotty for a long while until Doug got knocked out, then it picked up again for the final ten minutes but by that time Arson had more gas in the tank. Arson finally gets revenge on Scotty for his role in screwing him out of the Central IL title in 2002 and his horrible year for losses.

The Verdict: A bit better show wrestling wise than last month's but considering that they're wrestling every week now will they play up the importance of the weekly shows with the big monthly shows? I think they should had done that this month but strangely apart from the commercial, they didn't say anything about the happenings of the past two weeks and their effects on THIS show.

After the show was over, Quinten Tyler was HOUNDING me like crazy. He was desperately trying to get me hooked up with Cherry Malone, get her phone number, leave messages on her answering machine, and whatever else. Heck, he convinced the pop to help him drag me over. And Miss Malone was playing the act of being broken hearted and bawling cause I wasn't wanting to play along. I was pulling my hair out and had to flee the building to escape the badgering job. Man I've never been badgered so bad before, well at least in the last ten years.

3/2/2K4 - Springfield, IL

Okay, about three days later, there was the weekly show at Club 217, now on Tuesday nights and starting an hour earlier than before, mainly to help out those who have early morning regular jobs. Only problem is the main eventers are the ones having to go last or next to last and they still have to get up at 3am or so. I'm not writing a full blown report of that show, but here's the gist of what went down.

Hardcore KC (1-4) 5'7" 170lbs. Kansas City, MO vs. Lucious P. Cotrain (9-4) 5'10" 230lbs. Land of Lucious - LPC pretty much has the match won following a hard slam, Ricky the ref is nearly face down talking in KC's ear while Earl Grissom jumps in the ring, nails LPC with a DDT on his own title belt. KC covers and wins it. PHD screams at Devall for an overturn of the ref's call, but Devall says he didn't see what happened cause he was busy drinking soda and snacking on fries. Ummm...yeah, sure.

WINNER: Hardcore KC pin -> (2-4) 5 mins. **

Tricky Dick Moore (2-2) 5'10" 180lbs. Beaverdale, PA vs. Mr. Elite (0-2) ?'??" 220lbs. Minneapolis, MN - After the major upset Moore pulled off against Billy, lets see if it was a fluke. After a couple of low blows from Elite, he locks in a hold that I describe as the victim is face down, the attacker gets in front of him, grabs an arm with both arms, and crosses his legs around the opponent's neck and yanks on the arm until he loses consciousness. He calls his move the World Class Choke, technical name is the Triangle Choke. Mr. Elite knocks him out with it.

WINNER: Mr. Elite KO -> (1-2) 8:25 mins. **¾

"Don't call me the Khaos Kidd no more" Steven Bishop (2-8) 5'7" 200lbs. Kincaid, IL vs. Jason Wells (4-7) 6'0" 230lbs. Kansas City, MO - An old feud here revisited in a singles match. And thankfully we're all spared the presence of RON again tonight. Bishop is the co-holder of the NMW Tag Titles. Bishop pulls off a number of moves that I don't have names for but Jason Wells locks in the crossface chickenwing Bob Backlund used heavily during his last run and Bishop adds another loss to his singles record. I shouted "RON didn't save you tonight did he!" He shouts back some comment linking me with gays, which the wrestlers at the neighboring table link right back with Bishop. Yes it's Real World Jeremy and Danny Eardley! Heh!

WINNER: Jason Wells pin -> (5-7) 7:50 mins. ***

Scotty Cash (7-8-1) 5'9" 170lbs. "Yo Momma's House" w/ Benz vs. Mississippi Madman Don Jackson (1-0-1) 6'2" 400lbs. Olive Branch, MS w/ Steven Bishop - After that grueling title match three days ago, is Cash ready to handle a man 230 pounds bigger than he is? Cash stalled like crazy at the start, making the Madman madder, but when he tried to take him down with clotheslines the Madman floored him. Eventually Bishop hops on the apron to distract the ref, Benz jumps in the ring to attack Madman and LOSES. Double chokeslam for Benz, double chokeslam for Cash and Madman made it look easy. Madman gave me a comment about what all RON is gonna do for him, I reply that RON keeps ruining my vacations. Match wasn't that great.

WINNER: Mississippi Madman Don Jackson pin -> (2-0-1) 6:45 mins. *

They run "commercial breaks" between the matches, well during one of these breaks, Michael Shard's music is playing. The wrestlers at the next table are looking around wondering if Shard was gonna come out on stage. Danny Eardley runs to the dressing room, then comes out on stage acting like Shard. Funny. Cherry Malone who apparently wanted to be around me so bad hasn't come to hang out at my table and is wandering the building. She admits she's nervous as heck about her tag match.

"New World" Quinten Tyler (3-5) 5'11" 230lbs. Denver, CO vs. Red (0-0) 5'9" 197lbs. Decatur, IL w/ Coop & Peter McDonald Sanders - Coop and Sanders try interfering for their man, but as Coop distracts the ref, Sanders actually trips Red instead and it's KICK WHAM PEDIGREE for the win. Drive Thru proceed to beat the crap out of Quinten, supposedly so he doesn't come to my table and rate his match 100 *'s.

WINNER: New World Quinten pin -> (4-5) 8:45 mins. N/A

Mixed Tag Team Match
The NEW Sigma Omega Beta (2-1) - "Toga" Steve Fisher (4-5-1) 5'10" 240lbs. Carbondale, IL & "The Freshman" Matt Boston (1-2) 5'8" 120lbs. Carbondale, IL vs. Cherry Malone 5'6" 140lbs. Springfield, IL (0-0) & "Alpha Male" Guy Smith (17-8) 6'0" 255lbs. Rapid City, SD (debut) - Just three days ago, Guy Smith "quit". But here he is in the ring again! I have decided to just figure in the mixed tag team as a regular tag team in my standings. Malone and Toga start the match, and I wondered why Cherry would start with him. I thought she was gonna get slaughtered, but alas, that wouldn't be the case. Toga gives Cherry a free headlock, like Jerry Lawler vs. Andy Kaufman, then gives her an atomic drop. Toga tags in the Freshman, and he actually slugs Cherry before whipping her in the ropes and Cherry does some offense. Guy gets in and beats down the Freshman, while Cherry does a clothesline and pulls off a flying headscissors. Smith gets back in and pounds on the Freshman some more, then hits a chokeslam. But then everything freezes in the ring. Smith actually dropped him on the side of his neck and the Freshman is unconscious. I shout out loud for the ref to just count a pinfall but shortly all the wrestlers jump in the ring to check on him and the match is called off as the Freshman can't continue. After a few minutes he came to and was helped from the ring and taken to the hospital and it was determined he suffered a concussion. Read a note he posted today saying that he's fine now and is just experiencing the hangover type of headache and is cleared to train in a week and be ready for Rivalry. I'm gonna pass on rating the match.

NO WINNER: NO CONTEST -> 8:40 mins. N/A

After suspending the show for a few minutes giving aid to Boston, the next match was the hardcore match and the mood was pretty subdued for the rest of the evening.

Hardcore Match
Danger Doug Fraze (5-7-1) 6'6" 270lbs. Chicago, IL vs. Sage Ramsey (8-8) 6'4" 249lbs. Peoria, IL - Last week, Sage beat Fraze, three days ago Doug beat Ramsey. You could call this the rubber match. Big brawl with the pans, the stop sign and the chairs. These guys fought out of the ring area and close to the bar itself. After a 20 minute match the finish came when Doug slips out of a Final Fall attempt then rolls Sage up and gets the pin. Or so we thought, Ricky waves it off cause he had the tights. Doug protests that it's legal in a street fight, well Sage rolls him up and hooks his tights for the pin. Fraze is pissed and understandably so.

WINNER: Sage Ramsey pin -> (9-8) 20:40 mins. ***½

NMW Heavyweight Title
(c)"Trendsetter" Tom Arson (10-9) 6'5" 260lbs. St. Louis, MO vs. Eric Logan (10-7) 5'10" 173lbs. Palm Springs, FL - Well Logan is someone I thought should had gotten a title shot a while back when he won the Alexis Holmeier Memorial Tournament. Logan couldn't break out the high flying moves due to that low ceiling and Arson beat him with the Liberty Spike Piledriver for the win.

WINNER and STILL CHAMP: Tom Arson pin -> (11-9) 10:25 mins. ***¼

The big show for March is Rivalry II on the 27th, while the weekly shows at Club 217 continue on Tuesdays at 7pm for the adults due to alcohol being served. They're gonna have to figure out how to get more bodies in the building though, attendance at Club 217 was minimalist again despite the promotion at the USA Sports Center with a crowd of 200-250.
