Nothing new on the fight with the county board, other than I called up my own board member and discussed the facts and non-facts in this zoning case for about 15-20 minutes. The venue that was Southeast High School was secured on the Monday before the show, with contributions to the SEHS wrestling team. Well, the problem then turns to getting the word to those who were planning to attend so they don't waste a drive to the other corner of town. Running around and changing the flyers was a bit of a trick. The uncertainity surrounding what's been going on behind the scenes with the county board and securing a venue ended up being a drag on final attendance numbers, which turned out to be just over 100.

This is turning out to be one of those not-so-great weeks. Thinking they would be lacking numbers in moving the stuff to hold a show, I lent a hand, then at the event site while moving stuff I take an embarassing fall by tripping on the bleachers, bashing my leg, and giving the roster some amusement. Going back to work on Monday I find out one of my co-workers who was my age and got married last year has committed suicide over the weekend for no apparent reason, and only after going to visitation and the funeral does the shock of it set in. It's just unreal. And I finish closing on a house and have to decide what needs to be done to the inside like carpet and paint and fixing odds and ends about the place. Though that part would be considered good, still have to make some tricky decisions. And the week is only half over when I finish this rap sheet.

Update from Unfair Game's show, Danger Doug Fraze tore up a rotator cuff during his match with MS Madman. He was planning to take time to rest up his OTHER arm which apparently was already damaged, and now his good arm is worse off than the bad arm. He'll be out the rest of the year.

We lead off with LPC looking pretty dapper dressed in a suit coming into Jason Devall's office demanding another title shot against Khaos Kidd, he gets turned down and thus he knocks off the files sitting on his desk.

"Soon To Be" Justin MacIntyre (0-1) 6'4" 225lbs. Barrie, ON, Canada w/ Stephani King vs. "The Freshman" Matt Boston (3-6-0-1) 5'8" 132lbs. Carbondale, IL - It's a lightweight versus a heavyweight. At the fair, the Freshman was screwed out of a victory by a radio shock jock and MacIntyre lost in a tag title match. Lockup, Boston trips him. Mac kicks him in the gut and pounds away. Arson denies becoming a manager for the Mac. Whip clothesline MacIntyre. Shoulderblocks, armbar, whip crash in the corner, Mack snap suplex gets ONE. MacIntyre snap suplex, two palm cover gets two. Justin slams him, elbow, BOOT WIPE gets two. Justin chops away, Boston flips him, chops whip back body drop is horribly botched but gets him over somehow. Boston tries the monkey flip but gets raked. Justin with a eyepoke, uppercut, snap mare and chinlock. Jawbreaker Boston, clothesline MacIntyre. ONE FOOT cover gets ONE. Mac whip BIG BOOT gets two. Slugfest, Mac misses clotheslines, then just drops to the mat from being blown up, Boston gets two. Boston whip clothesline missed, shoulderblock, back body drop this time, Boston with the ACID DROP bulldog gets TWO! LOW BLOW MacIntyre! DDT Mac gets two. Justin whip flying headscissors Boston, he misses the clothesline, MacIntyre just stumbles around and flops to the mat. Okay, he's REALLY blown up, Boston covers for two. Boston whip reverse wheelbarrow attempt blocked, and is just dropped for two. Justin whip spinning DDT Boston, Stephani jumps on the apron, Boston argues, Justin pokes James Welden in the eye and gets himself intentionally DQ'ed...errrr...well how stupid was that? Messy match, Ms. King got lots of heat.

MacIntyre then hits a ROCK BOTTOM on Freshman on his way out.

Kansas City, MO vs. The NEW Honor Roll (debut) - "Rather CRAPPY" Bradley Stephens (8-8) 6'0" 225lbs. Las Vegas, NV & "The Overachiever" Billy Morgan (11-9) 173lbs. Riverton, IL w/ PHD - They tease PHD wrestling tonight, yeah right, I thought it was gonna be Morgan by himself, his body taped up from the wear and tear from last week's ladder match. PHD says he was joking about wrestling so he brings out his new client, Brad Stephens. Max Impact, which is the official name of the team, lost their singles bouts last week. Note there's a ten minute time limit on this bout. Shane and Brad start, lockup, headlock, shoveoff, shoulderblock Marvel. Lockup and shove Brad. He pounds away, suplex, whip reverse clothesline Shane, hip toss, drop kick and Brad bails. He's stalling, Shane rakes and slingshots him in. Shane suplex gets two. Shane whip back body drop gets two. Tag KC, whip reverse, Morgan chokes KC, Brad picks on Shane but gets a neck snap for his trouble, KC whip armdrag, Japanese armdrag, powerslam gets two. Honor Rolls bails out, stalls, Brad gets a neck snap on KC, suplex, tag Morgan, knee, slam gets two. Russian leg sweep Morgan gets two. Morgan turnbuckle smash, Brad chokes away, Morgan kicks away, DDT gets two. Tag Brad, double whip double hip toss gets two. Brad chokes away, rearchinlock. Now I know what's missing from the new commentary team...history of what occurred the last show with the participants currently in the ring. KC gets up, crossbody gets two. KC whip reverse knee Brad. Tag Morgan, knee to the face Morgan, elbowdrop gets two. Rearchinlock Morgan, shoveoff, double clothesline. Less than 90 seconds officially, double tags, atomic drop, clothesline Shane on both men. Back body drops on both men, Shane side suplex gets two. Time's up, we're in overtime! Morgan hits his own man, whip Morgan superkick, Brad covers for two, Sage Ramsey is out here. Brad flees, tag KC, slingshot KC, whip flapjack, Shane in, powerbomb neckbreaker combo nearly kills Morgan for the pin in overtime.

Sage Ramsey (14-10) 6'5" 250lbs. Peoria, IL vs. Tricky Dick Moore (5-5) 5'10" 185lbs. Beaverdale, PA w/ PMS - Sage is ready for his match and doesn't leave the ring. We get some history of Sage losing his title, and Sage lost last weekend's match against Toga. Moore lost the tag title match. Tricky dodges the lockups, Sanders hops on the apron, Tricky slugs away, whip is blocked, Sage throws him out. Count gets to nine, Tricky sits down in the corner, LOW BLOW Moore, he tries to slam him and fails. Sage tries to slam him but Tricky gets a rollup for two, small package gets two, Sage side slam gets two. Sage headbutt, he slugs away, whip powerslam. Sage whip and Tricky bails. Sage chases, Tricky in and kicks away, beatdown in the corner, chops, whip reverse splash Sage. Sage backbreaker, chops, whip splash missed, Tricky gets two on a rollup. Tricky spinning neckbreaker gets two. Tricky whip reverse CHOKESLAM SAGE! Sage chokeslams him a second time! Sage says something to the camera, Sage pickup and Tricky flops to the mat. Sage picks him up again and CHOKESLAM #3 pinfall and it's over.

Oh Sage isn't done, he picks up Tricky again and gives him a POWERBOMB! Well some people were surprised at the brutality Sage showed tonight, but can you really blame him? I'd be pissed off too if someone attacked MY own mother! EMTs run out to check on Tricky and help him to the back.

Benz (0-0-0-1) 6'3" 240lbs. Yo Mamma's House vs. JJ Tank (2-1) 6'4" 250lbs. Moline, IL - Both these guys are back from leg injuries. Lockup, Tank slugs him down, Benz returns fire and Tank bails. Benz follows, Tank gets him on the way back in, whip clothesline. Tank slam gets two. Tank chops away, whip corner, side slam, elbow gets two. Tank whip reverse ROCK BOTTOM Benz out of nowhere gets two! Rake Tank, he goes for the pumphandle slam but doesn't quite get him up high enough to be effective. Tank pickup, but Benz hits his neckbreaker against his side (not called the Travesty apparently) and wins this quickie match.

WINNER: Benz pin -> (1-0-0-1) 3:25 mins. ¾*

Toga Steve (6-9-1) 5'10" 220lbs. Carbondale, IL vs. Lucious P. Cotrain (10-8) 5'10" 230lbs. "Land of Lucious" w/ Cherry Malone - Lockup, stalemate. Lockup, armbar LPC, clothesline Toga. Shoulderblocks Toga, he slugs away, chops, LPC bails out and stalls. Toga chases, Cherry grabs his leg and LPC stomps away. Quit cheating girl! LPC suplex gets two. Knee to the back, rear chinlock (NOT a camel clutch), clothesline, slam, suplex blocked, LPC hits a sloppy spinning neckbreaker for two. Ab stretch LPC, Cherry helps pull, Ricky the ref kicks the arm. Hip toss, suplex Toga, axe to the head (NOT a polish hammer!). LPC shoves him to the corner, DDT LPC gets two. LPC goes up and gets slammed off. SALUKI HAMMER Toga! Belly to belly suplex, chained German suplexes times three and Cherry is up on the apron. KICK BLOCK shove into Cherry, HAZING inverted swinging neckbreaker Toga and it's three!

Nothing special here, but the other members of 4GQ rush the ring and pound away on Toga! Danger Doug Fraze's music hits but he's only got one good arm! 4GQ kick him down, Stan dares others to come out. President Devall comes out, Stan says they're tired of his crap and they are the ones responsible getting people in the seats. Devall scoffs at the suggestion, he's got something interesting planned for them, Jason Wells, Freshman, and Rian Cruz rush the ring. Big brawl but 4GQ gets the upper hand. Smith with a piledriver on Toga! Stan says there's nothing Devall can do to stop 4GQ. Yeah whatever, Smith gets a parting shot on Freshman on their way out.

Central Illinois Championship
(c)The Khaos Kidd (4-9) 5'7" 210lbs. Springfield, IL vs. "Cruiserweight Redneck" Earl Grissom (12-11-0-1) 5'10" 170lbs. Rushville, IL - And the Kidd comes out as...Hillbilly Jim! Lockup, armdrag and the hair comes off. Armdrag Kidd, he still has the beard on him. Lockup, headlock takedown Earl and the beard comes off. Lockup, headlock takedown Kidd. Lockup, whip Earl knee to the gut. Kidd whip sitdown hip toss. Lockup, knee suplex Earl, axe to the back, kick to the rear Earl. Earl whip corner, he slugs away, shoulderblocks, ten punch count and bite. Earl charges, but Kidd gives it all back to him. Earl reverses it and back body drops him off the top rope for two! Earl kick, spinning neckbreaker! Earl double legdrop, Earl whip reverse clothesline Kidd. Earl charges but Kidd hits a spinning neckbreaker into the knee. Kidd side suplex gets two. Kidd goes for the seventh day, but Earl hits the spinning leg neckbreaker, he goes up, axe to the back of the head. Earl with a version of an inverted figure four but doesn't hold it. LOW BLOW Kidd! Kidd gets something like the trailer park hitch and gets the submission!

Earl has the mike, he and Kidd hug. Earl asks if we liked the match and the show so far. Earl says tonight was his last match in NMW and he has enjoyed everyone, especially the person under the handle MOAV5706. He gives one last yee-ha and says goodbye to the fans.

Rip Mystic (10-7) 185lbs. Hannibal, MO vs. "I'm MAD as HELL and I'm not gonna take this ANYMORE!" Mississippi Madman Don Jackson (4-2-2) 400lbs. Olive Branch, MS w/ RON - Well Rip finally gets a crack at Madman who delayed his return to the ring with that beatdown. Oh RON is out here, ugh. He tells Mystic he hasn't gotten rid of him and actually gave him enough time to finish his "new testament" and he's the one who's put him back in the fed and taken him out again. He takes a cheap shot against his deceased niece and says Rip would had won the AHMT if he stuck with him so he's gonna give him some tough love and feed him to Madman. Madman's got a new hairdo! Rip charges him and slugs away. Rip whip reverse splash misses, drop kick to the back. Rip cartwheel handspring back splash, but Madman clotheslines him down! RON has the GALL to yell at me that I would have been in the commentary booth instead of sitting in the bleachers tonight if I was under his vision and direction. GROWL! I'd be completely pennyless on the streets of Springfield if I took RON's advice about anything! Yes it's true, I was not commentating this evening but still served as the timekeeper. I dunno if I will get to commentate in the future. Back to the match, Madman slugs away, whip to the corner crash. Legdrop Madman, Mystic spills to the outside, ram into the stairs, then the post. Mystic is bleeding, Madman flips him back in the ring. Mystic tries slugging him in the gut, then a DDT, but Madman throws him, Mystic tries a sleeper but gets flipped down to the mat. Madman whip side slam, pulls down the strap, 5th floor double chokeslam! Madman hits a second double chokeslam, yanks him up again, hits a THIRD double chokeslam, one foot cover pins him! Pretty much a bloody squash.

Mystic is just not having good luck lately, lost all the exhibition matches a few weeks ago, lost at the fair, now gets squashed bad here.

Minneapolis, MN w/ Cherry Malone - EDS searches for the mike, Logan recounts what happened last month and the tag belts are more important than one match and no one is going to stop their train. EDS and Stan start. Lockup, hammerlock EDS. EDS poke, tag Elite, tag Logan. Lockup, armbar Elite, armdrag, hip toss. Lockup, top wristlock Elite, armdrag Logan, hip toss, drop toe hold. Stan charges in and hits his partner, Elite charges Logan but crashes into Elite. Top rope crossbodies to the floor by Tuff-N-Stuff! Elite yanks E-Lo to the corner, shoulderblocks, choke, whip hopover E-Lo, side suplex Elite gets two. Tag Stan, double whip clothesline. EDS gets knocked off, Cherry gets in a few licks, slam Stan, elbow, knocks EDS off, gets two. Stan whip spinebuster gets two. Stan whip springboard heel kick misses, Logan kicks him off, drop toe hold, suplex, standing moonsault gets two. Logan whip reverse crossbody caught, fallaway slam Stan gets two. Tag Elite, front facelock, Northern Lights suplex E-Lo gets two. Gut wrentch suplex Elite. Elite chokes away in the corner, yank out. Elite whip, E-Lo tries to slug his way out but gets slammed down. Both men crawl to the corners, tag Stan and stops Logan. Stan clotheslines in the corner, whip corner, Logan hops on Stan, Elite in, tornado DDT on Elite. Enzuigiri on Stan, Logan slowly moves to his corner but EDS suddenly REFUSES THE TAG and flips him the double bird! Stan full-nelson swinging slam. Elite hits his triangle choke into a slam, Mister Mister hit a double powerbomb and pin him. ARRGH!!!

El Diablo Silverado throws the tag belts into the trash and breaks up the team, what an idiot. EDS shakes hands with Mister Mister. EDS has the mike and mocks Logan before stomping away on him. Eldy sucks chant starts, EDS stomps away some more. EDS screams about Logan taking all the glory, then gives him the Unprettier before punching some more. Finally Scotty Cash's music hits and here's the heavyweight champ! Cash asks if he's silver or yellow. EDS says it doesn't concern him. Cash says EDS is the one raining on Logan's parade and starts chanting. EDS screams SHUT UP!!! Cash slams EDS spotlight crap and he hates EDS. Cash saved Logan's rear cause he lent him money for a soda. EDS says Cash is stealing his spotlight too. Cash says he came for some fresh air and offers EDS a title shot tonight. He gives James Welden the match off, then gets Ricky Brewer to take his place. Cash calls EDS to the ring, then lays down in the middle of the ring to help encourage EDS to come in. Bell rings.

NMW Heavyweight Championship
(c)Scotty Cash (10-11-1) 175lbs. "Yo Mammas House" w/ Eric Logan vs. El Diablo Silverado (11-8) 5'8" 173lbs. Beardstown, IL - Cash taunts EDS calling him a chicken, then he hops up and EDS runs away. Cash has Logan hold the ropes open, EDS comes in another side but runs away again. EDS does get back in, lockup, shoulderblock Cash. Lockup, shoulderblock Cash. Cash tells EDS to charge him, he runs the ropes and Logan trips him. Logan gets ejected, whip clothesline Cash, EDS bails again. Cash chases him back to the curtain and brings him back but EDS gets the upper hand, Cash apron rams him, toss in. Cash goes up, axe handle gets a knee, EDS drops several knees gets two. EDS whip reverse springboard is blocked, EDS gets a knee to the gut though. Small package Cash gets two but almost pins himself. Kneedrop EDS gets two. EDS slugs away, whip corner, sunset flip Cash gets two. Cash holds the legs into a Boston Crab but can't hold the submission move. EDS turnbuckle ram, whip crash corner gets two. EDS chokes with his leg, he stomps away, whip knee, whip knee, a third, then an ab stretch using the ropes. Ricky the ref kicks the arm, hip toss Cash, whip splash. Cash goes up, crossbody misses. EDS is called El Diablo Cheaterado, Juvy Driver EDS, he goes up, legdrop misses, Cash gets two. EDS kicks away, goes for the Unprettier, it's blocked, Cash hits a move where he goes for a fisherman buster, but drops him on the side of the shoulder and head...is THAT the mystery Money Clip manuever? He gets the pin and retains. More about the heat against EDS than the wrestling here.

WINNER and STILL CHAMP: Scotty Cash pin -> (11-11-1) 10:10 mins. **½

We get a Six Flags commerical, then a video montage of the feud between Shard and Smith. President Jason Devall runs around the crowd talking to various people in the crowd while the cage is being put up. Some kid says he's ready to see the POOP beat outta Guy Smith. Some fan asks if Smith will be dumb enough to moonsault off the top of the cage. Another kid asks if there will be any pee. Devall wonders if Smith will get scared enough to wet his pants. Devall then points to an old fart in the crowd, but it's really his dad. After talking to a few more fans, the cage is ready. This is NMW's first ever cage match.

Cage Match
Michael Shard (10-13) 5'9" 170lbs. Santa Monica, CA vs. "Alpha Male" Guy Smith (22-11) 6'0" 255lbs. Rapid City, SD w/ Cherry Malone - Standard cage rules apply, over the top or out the door to the floor. The fight begins, Smith tries to climb out right away, but Shard slugs away, yanks Smith off, Shard whip clotheslines blocked, Smith whip reverse Shard throws him down off the ropes. Shard throws Smith into the fence. Shard slugs away, pitch into the fence. Shard works on the head, into the fence again, Shard snap mare, drop kick to the face. Smith is indeed cut, Shard toss into the fence. Shard whip corner, clothesline. Shard goes up, Smith nails him in the back, side suplex off the top! Spinout powerbomb Smith, Shard slugs away, Smith PILEDRIVER! DEATH VALLEY DRIVER Guy Smith! Smith goes up, Shard stops him and throws him down. Shard whip, clotheslines miss, TOSS NECKBREAKER Shard! Shard misses the enzuigiri, Smith gets the elevated surfboard but doesn't hold it. Smith twisting belly to belly suplex. Smith goes up on the side with the door and Shard yanks him down into the turnbuckle. Shard CHEESE GRATER!!! Shard whip, Smith hops him and does the snake eyes! Smith battering ram into the fence! Shard gets up between the fence and ropes, Smith SPLASH! Smith SITOUT POWERBOMB! Shard holds the leg though, Cutting Edge sickle hold! He lets go, he slugs away, whip drop kick to the knee! Shard toss into the fence, he goes up, gets a leg over, but Smith pulls him back, Shard missile dropkick off the top rope! Elite and Stan run to the ring, Shard fights off LPC, knocks off Elite climbing up, Stan is held by security but gets in anyway, FLATLINER on Stan! Shard FLATLINER on Smith twice! Shard goes up again, gets over, Smith tries to stop him, he headbutts him to get free and drops down for the win!

WINNER: Michael Shard KO -> (11-13) 12:30 mins. ***½

Elite attacks him, security tries to stop them, Shard put back in, Smith with the Little Inspiration! Security is fighting with LPC and Elite, RWJ's music plays. Stan full nelson swing slam! RWJ comes in, Wells, Boston, Cruz, Cash, Toga all in! MATT BOSTON WITH A CHOKESLAM ON GUY SMITH!!! Yep, finally revenge for that nasty chokeslam last Club 217 show. RWJ PEDIGREE ON GUY SMITH! Cruz finally grabs Malone and they fight. RWJ with ANOTHER pedigree on Elite! Devall says he's been given permission to add a new member to the administration and RWJ is the new commissioner! The faces beat on 4GQ in the ring some more, RWJ pedigrees Stan Sallinger! Cash counts pins on people. RWJ says Sept. 25th, payback is coming. Celebration goes on in the ring.

The Verdict: Not as great a show as it could had been, and the humidity affected several in the ring. The new commentary team took about an hour into the show to get going methinks. Overall it was all about the cage match and EDS going heel. Unfair Game was a bit of a better show wrestling wise in my opinion.
