I've decided this month not to post the whole rap sheet on www.newmidwest.com/forum in favor of a link to here instead due to the wishes that I don't include outside the fed activities by NMW wrestlers on the forum board itself.  And there's a lot of news this month on that front.  A bunch of wrestlers went over a week before to participate on a Great American Wrestling event in Maroa, and what was significant about this event is that for the first time ever NMW guys and 3CW wrestled on the same show.  Everything went without a hitch, and the results from that saw Mississippi Madman pinning Hardcore KC, Billy Morgan pinning the Freshman, El Diablo Silverado in full heel persona pinning double champ Mr. Elite, and Tricky Dick Moore pinning the former Drive Thru Red Jaxson Pride.  Up in SCW around the Quad Cities, Mississippi Madman got back on his mean streak right away and hit a Vadersault on a wrestler for a win, Jason Wells finally had his first match since June but lost to KC, and Mr. Elite still has his heavyweight belt.  In a couple weeks, KC and Shane Matthews will try for tag belts in SCW in a tourney.  Justin MacIntyre, who was exiled from his favorite fed, Next Generation, was finally allowed back to wrestle on a show and winning a mixed tag.

NMW now has a venue until the end of the year.  Now comes the problem of getting fans to go up there and watch.  It was reported that 70,000 people milled through the Route 66 festival.  I put up a dozen flyers on poles around the festival, in addition to the ones that were already up at the downtown businesses there.  You'd think some of those people were also wrestling fans and would run up the block to watch, but no dice.  

This is a low ceiling venue, 12 feet high, prohibiting moves off the top rope.  It was also really dark.  For some reason they chose to keep the lights off in 2/3 of the place, and the ring was hardly lit up, thus making it look like dark figures were moving around in the ring.  I can't imagine it was bright enough for the video cameras.  Your commentary team is Tom Arson, "Outbreak" Michael Raines and "Outkast" Dane MacLeod.  Your ring announcer is Jimmy "The Bruiser" Osbourne.

#1 Contenders Match Central IL Championship
"Soon To Be" Justin MacIntyre (0-2) 6'4" 225lbs. Barrie, ON, Canada w/ Stephani King vs. Hardcore KC (2-6) 5'7" 170lbs. Kansas City, MO - Well both of these guys are desperate for a win here, KC more cause he's dangerously close to having the same horrid record Khaos Kidd did a few months ago.  Justin claims he's gonna do something tonight that will be the most pivotal moment in NMW history, whatever that is.  He claims up the ropes to pose and sticks his head through a ceiling tile, Mack nearly goes home due to embarrassment.  Lockup Mack to the corner, KC kicks away, whip clothesline KC, slam.  MacIntyre gets a poke, uppercut, slam, two elbows, stomp gets two.  Snap mare, butterfly armbar, bodyscissors while maintaining the armbar, KC gets up, clothesline Mack.  Small package KC gets two, backslide gets two, trip gets one.  LOW BLOW MacIntyre!  Backside neck/shoulderbreaker that Justin has now dubbed the "BeeLee Driver" after his late brother who passed away over the summer, that gets two.  Shoulderblocks to the corner by Mack, whip corner, KC jumps over him and gets an armdrag.  Whip splash KC, legdrop, elbow gets two.  MacIntyre gets the figure four, KC turns it over but Mack gets a rope.  Justin with the choke, goes outside and pretends to throw up on a fan.  Oh funny.  MacIntyre whip BIG BOOT.  KC gets a clothesline, Japanese arm drag, whip drop kick.  Ref gets tied up with MacIntyre, KC waits on him, but Stephani jumps in the ring and kicks him in the balls.  MacIntyre with the ROCK BOTTOM Justification and its over.  ARRRGGHHH!  In a lengthy debate with MacIntyre, he claims his match was seven stars, I can only go...

4GQ comes out to the ring, and there's WITCHY!  Dang, I thought the Alpha Male Curse got rid of her, guess she has now become the second woman to break the curse.  Stan wants to pick a bone with the admins, they say the risk their lives for your entertainment.  Stan claims they are passing them up for promotion.  "Hey Witchy was the one who fired you Stan!"  Guy Smith says shut up.  All Female chants ring out.  Smith claims what happened last month is a travesty.  Smith says RWJ may have beat him for his title, but he hasn't been out of action.  He's going for Cash's title tonight cause he's the best talent in the promotion.  LPC says he's sorry that he's stuck wearing jeans and a dress shirt cause the dry cleaners messed up.  LPC says he's a two time CI champ, he's the king of Springfield street fights, he wants another rematch against the Khaos Kidd in his kind of match tonight, despite Kidd having a match with someone else.  RWJ and Jason Devall come out, call them monkeys, then says he's gonna make them pay for the liberties they were taking with the roster.  4GQ taunt RWJ, RWJ says he's guest ring announcing the heavyweight title match, Devall will be the time keeper.  Mr. Mister will defend against Sigma Omega Beta.  Mr. Elite does some improv and flops to the mat, he says he's Matt Boston!  They mock the frat boys cause they're a drunkard and a kid Cherry can beat.  RWJ does his own impression, he's eating on the mat, it's MS Madman Don Jackson, he's gonna be on a tag team and will be teamed with the frat boys.  A three on two handicap match.  Ugh.  RWJ says LPC will have a street fight tonight, against Rip Mystic right now.  Mystic comes out to his real better music "Just One of Those Days" and has trashcan in hand ready to go now!  RWJ says all of 4GQ can't bother Mystic during the match or else they'll have a special one on one match with Madman.

Hardcore Match
Lucious P. Cotrain (10-9) 5'10" 230lbs. "Land of Lucious" vs. Rip Mystic (10-8) 185lbs. Hannibal, MO - Mystic jumps LPC, LPC tries the stunner but fails, trash can lid in, lidshot Mystic.  Rip pounds on the head, trayshot, fetches another tray, CYMBAL CLASH on the head!  Mystic wedges the lid in the corner, Rip whip reverse headfirst into the lid.  LPC trayshot to the head.  LPC goes out for weapons, fetches a chair, trash can, bat, second chair, Rip throws a pan at him.  Apron slam, toss in, Mystic pounds away, sets up the chair, Mystic whip, kick, Rip takes a seat holding a headlock, oh cute.  Face slam on the chair, he gets the metal bat, swings and hits the rope.  Can shot LPC, sets up the chair, whip drop toe hold into the chair gets two.  Mystic GREEN SPEW to the face!  He grabs a bag of Doritos and smacks LPC in the face!  Chips fly EVERYWHERE and Stan Sallinger runs out trying to get some chips!  Mr. Elite tries to make him go to the back before they get in trouble.  Mystic rear chinlock and arcs that back.  Mystic to the corner, whip cartwheel backsplash, superkick gets two.  Mystic slams him, running elbow gets two.  LPC rake, pounds away, kick to the gut, suplex gets two.  Sign is put in the middle of the sign, LPC drops him on the top of the back against the sign, trash can shot.  LPC fetches the BUMP sign, tray shot by LPC, LPC sets up two chairs and the BUMP sign on top.  Mystic fights back, LPC armbar kicks, whip spinebuster through the BUMP sign gets two.  LPC tombstone shoulderbreaker gets two.  LPC goes outside, Mystic goes outside, the table is fetched, apron slam, toss in, Mystic gets the table and sets it up in the corner.  Mystic whip, chokehold enzuigiri!  Mystic has a STAPLE GUN!  OH NO!  Mystic uses the driver mechanism to cut him on the head!  Sick, I don't care to see those things used.  Mystic whip, LPC goes for the stunner but it's blocked, KICK WHAM STUNNER by Mystic gets two!  Mystic whip LPC stops in front of the table, Rip SPEARS LPC through the table!   Mystic puts the BUMP sign on the mat, that idiot RON is out here and MS Madman!  Mystic slugs RON down, Madman comes in, LOW BLOW Rip, GREEN SPEW and chairshot takes him out.  LPC is up, KICK WHAM STUNNER and Mystic goes down hard!

WINNER:  Lucious P. Cotrain pin -> (11-9) 14:40 mins. ***

RON is mad, he drags Madman around by the hair like an animal.  Mystic is pissed off and throws a tantrum in the ring over losing.  I can't blame him there, he was ripped off.  LPC is a bloody mess.  Send in the cleaning crew.

PHD comes out with his new Honor Roll.  PHD says to come get your chips off the mat.  PHD talks about the Honor Roll's matches, he says the crowd loves these guys, and they would had won if they weren't cheated.  PHD runs down Shard and Wells without mentioning them by name.  He says Morgan is the best former champ ever, he'd still be champ if it wasn't for cheaters, he was the best guy he ever managed then dares steal Michael Shard's lines.  Shard comes right out, ah good he's back to "Devil Without a Cause" for his music.  Shard scoffs at the claim Morgan was the best he ever had.  PHD has violated his copyrights, Shard says he'll wrestle him right now.  Morgan says it took him two years to run to the top, since he's already fighting Logan, he invites him to sit ringside and watch.  Michael Shard fetches a chair and does sit ringside.

"The Overachiever" Billy Morgan (11-9) 173lbs. Riverton, IL w/ PHD vs. "E-Lo" Eric Logan (10-8) 5'10" 173lbs. Palm Springs, FL - Logan wants to do his moonsault but the ceiling is too low, darn.  Well he can do the split-legged flip instead, but doesn't.  Lockup, headlock Billy, takedown.  Second headlock takedown.  Lockup, armdrags by E-Lo, dropkick, slam gets two.  Logan whip reverse backbreaker Morgan gets one.  Wrestling on the mat, fireman's carry, DDT Morgan gets two.  Morgan slugs and chokes away, camel clutch Morgan, half crab Morgan.  Logan small package gets two, jawbreaker Morgan, German suplex gets two.  Morgan choke, chops, whip corner, Logan jumps over him, German suplex gets two.  Logan whip SUPERKICK MORGAN gets two!  Snap mare Billy, E-Lo flying headscissors, sloppy looking slam gets two.  El Diablo Silverado now comes out.  Logan gets a drop toe hold on Morgan into the ropes, PHD has the ref tied up, 619 attempt is caught by EDS and YANKS HIM DOWN HARD to the floor!  UNPRETTIER by EDS on the floor!  Ricky ain't paying attention, flatliner Morgan, Shard walks away, Morgan puts on the Cutting Edge sickle hold on Logan!  E-Lo gives it up.

WINNER:  Billy Morgan submission -> (12-9) 7:35 mins. **½

EDS gets in the ring and starts beating on Logan, Shard comes back out and hits Sliced Bread #2 on Morgan!  EDS throws Logan into the rail.  Shard taunts EDS and says if he takes his mask off he'll be the next Marty Jennetty.  Fans start chanting that name.  Shard challenges EDS to a match right now.  EDS in the ring and there's a fight, Shard gets the better of him and tosses him out.  RWJ comes out and orders a match on the spot.  

El Diablo Silverado (15-9) 5'8" 173lbs. Beardstown, IL vs. Michael Shard (11-13) 5'9" 170lbs. Santa Monica, CA - Shard armbar, EDS whip shoulderblock Shard, armdrag, flying headscissors, hurranconranna.  EDS pulls the ref in front and pokes the eye.  EDS whip splash corner, EDS front face lock, he pounds away, ab stretch.  Shard turns it around and fights out, gets a knee to the gut.  EDS kicks away, gut wrench into a gutbuster.  "Marty" chant, EDS shoulderblocks to the corner.  Shard sunset flip for two, small package two, backslide two.  EDS knee to the gut, suplex, Northern Lights suplex, gutwrench suplex, German suplex for the quadfecta.  "You're not Logan" chant.  EDS goes back to the ab stretch and uses the rope for extra torque.  Ref James Welden finally kicks the arm, hip toss, clotheslines by Shard, whip toss neckbreaker.  Shard messes up his arm, EDS fights out of a move, Shard slugs away, whip Welden almost gets run over EDS and Shard crash into each other where EDS gets two.  EDS whip reverse clothesline miss, Welden runs into the path of EDS's crossbody attempt and tries to catch him like he was diving for a football but he drops at his feet and that extreme effort causes him to lose consciousness.  LLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!  Shard hits a flatliner, puts on the cutting edge sickle hold, Billy Morgan runs out and clobbers Shard in the gut.  EDS with the ab stretch again and Shard gives it up.  What a clusterfrick ending to ruin a quite decent match.  Welden may have broken a finger.

Lumberjack Match
Sage Ramsey (15-10) 6'5" 250lbs. Peoria, IL vs. "Rather CRAPPY" Bradley Stephens (8-8) 6'0" 225lbs. Las Vegas, NV w/ PHD & Billy Morgan - Your lumberjacks taking part, all of 4GQ, Tricky Dick, Justin MacIntyre, RON dragging MS Madman by the hair, Jason Wells, Eric Logan, Doug Fraze, Toga Steve, Matt Boston, JJ Tank, Rian Cruz, Hardcore KC, and El Diablo Silverado.  Sage attacks, headbutt.  Brad bails out but the good guys toss him back in.  Brad slugs away, Sage slugs away, Brad with shoulderblocks.  RWJ and Devall come out to watch but soon depart.  Brad charges but misses his target and gets dumped out.  Brad is tossed back in, gutwrench suplex Sage, whip powerslam gets two.  Sage is limping around, he has been having significant knee problems the past few weeks.  Sage whip splash misses, Brad dumps Sage out, and the bad guys proceed to do the beat down, well that in turn starts a riot.  Sage gets put back in, PHD is on the apron, double chokeslam Ramsey.  The melee continues all over, PHD jumps in the ring, Billy Morgan gets in the ring, Morgan with Sliced Bread #2 on Ramsey.  Stephens hits his second rope elbow for the first time in forever without the 30-second delay and gets the pin.  BLEH!

WINNER:  "Rather Charming" Bradley Stephens pin -> (9-8) 5:20 mins. ½*

Pretty much a wild brawl to set up the rumble next month.  Sage Ramsey was quite limited as to what he could do cause of a bad knee.  The riot continues however for a while until they all retreat to the back.  

NMW Tag Team Championship - Handicap Match
(c)Mister Mister (3-1) - "Mr. Hollywood" Stan Sallinger (3-6) 6'3" 260lbs. Hollywood Hills CA & SCW Heavyweight Champ Mr. Elite (2-3-0-1) 6'1" 220lbs. Minneapolis, MN w/ Cherry Malone vs. "I'm MAD as HELL and I'm not gonna take this ANYMORE!" Mississippi Madman Don Jackson (5-2-2) 400lbs. Olive Branch, MS w/ RON & The NEW Sigma Omega Beta (2-1-0-1) - "Toga" Steve Fisher (7-9-1) 5'10" 240lbs. Carbondale, IL & "The Freshman" Matt Boston (4-6-0-1) 5'8" 135lbs. Carbondale, IL - RON is still dragging Jackson around by the hair.  Remarkable the frat boys came out unscathed in the riot.  Well here's my problem with the match, if Jackson gets the pin, which two guys get the belts on this three man team?  And how is Jackson gonna work with the frat boys here?  RON certainly didn't want to be a part of this match. Interesting note, this is the first time the frat boys have teamed since the horrible chokeslam Boston took back in early March that put him in the hospital.  Toga and Elite start, but Toga starts teasing a tag with Madman but then tags Boston in.  Elite with a shove, armdrags by Matt, armwringer, armdrag.  Stan in, Toga cuts him off and chops away, crossbody by Boston, Stan whip splash Toga, Madman gets behind Elite, Toga chokes Stan, Madman gets the stairs, Toga clotheslines Stan out, Saluki Hammer on Elite, Toga suplexes Elite, Boston covers for two.  Boston whip reverse wheelbarrow, Elite Alabama Slam gets one.  Fallaway slam by Stan, where's the tag?  Whip spinebuster Stan gets two.  Stan slam, legdrop gets two.  Ram to the corner, tag Elite, neck vice Elite, illegal switch, Mister Mister slap Boston around, Elite knocks Toga off, Matt rolls him up for two.  Clothesline Elite gets two.  Tag Stan, whip elbow gets two.  Stan whip crossbody Boston, who pulls out an armdrag out of a side slam attempt.  Clothesline Stan, another knockoff of Toga, tag Elite.  Elite reverse chinlock with a knee to the back.  Boston gets a drop kick, flying headscissors, goes for a chokeslam but gets hit with a neckbreaker for one.  Elite whip Boston wheelbarrow bulldog.  Tag Madman, tag Stan.  RON jumps on the apron protesting, Madman chokeslams Stan, chokeslams Elite, glares at RON.  Toga tags himself and gets two but Madman breaks it up.  5th Floor double chokeslam on Toga, slams Boston down.  RON gets in the ring to argue some more.  Double chokeslam on Boston, RON slaps Madman, Stan gets one arm on Boston and gets the pin.

WINNERS and STILL CHAMPS:  Mister Mister pin -> 12:15 mins. **¾

Because this was a handicap match, there's no tally to the win-loss record.  Madman is screaming at RON and finally chokeslams him.  Madman throws James Welden down, drags RON to the corner then does the Yokozuna sitdown.  Mister Mister pops Boston with the tag belt outside.  Madman goes over to the commentary table to tell off Tom Arson, then heads back to the ring and tosses RON back in.  RON tries to flee, but Madman with the BIG SPLASH.  Madman hits him with the book, elbow to the back, then rips the book up into pieces and stuffs pages into RON's mouth.  Hooray!  No more cult of RON!

Central Illinois Championship
(c)The Khaos Kidd (5-9) 5'7" 210lbs. Springfield, IL vs. Tricky Dick Moore (5-6) 5'10" 185lbs. Beaverdale, PA w/ PMS - And the Khaos Kidd comes out as Hacksaw Jim Duggan.  Aw darn, I was expecting Rick Rude, The Godfather, Val Venus, Rico or anyone similar to mock Tricky's gimmick.  The national anthem doesn't quite work as a entrance theme though, guess they couldn't find Hacksaw's old music.  Lockup armbar Moore, shove by Kidd.  Atomic drop Tricky, armdrag, suplex, shoulderblocks.  Moore whip to the corner, charges  and eats a boot.  Crossbody Kidd gets two, clothesline Moore gets two.  Spinning neckbreaker Moore gets two.  Moore whip spinning facebreaker by Kidd, he goes to the five-point stance but Moore gets him in a reverse tornado DDT for two and a half!  Moore whip slam by Kidd gets two.  Khaos has apparently messed up his knee, Moore hits the RUDE AWAKENING neckbreaker for two!  Side suplex Kidd gets two, back to the five-point stance, shoulderblock by Kidd gets two.  Moore slugs away, Kidd hits back, LOW BLOW MOORE!  Kidd gives thumbs up on the way down, heh.  Moore whip reverse, PMS trips Moore expecting to trip Kidd, oops.  Kidd locks in I believe Jamie Noble's Trailer Park Hitch and that gets the submission.

WINNER and STILL CHAMP:  The Khaos Kidd submission -> (6-9) 7:30 mins. **¼

Khaos Kidd is injured, Justin MacIntyre then comes out and has the mike.  Justin says the next person that boos him will be clobbered by him, but since he has other things to do after the show so he won't.  Justin says he hasn't won cause he hasn't been embracing his fans.  Huh?  He tells Kidd he doesn't care who he'll pretend to be next month, just pretend to be the champ.  Justin wants his match to start now, Moore gets back in and beltshots Kidd down.  MacIntyre covers and counts himself three then takes the title belt home with him.  Kidd has to be helped out of the ring for medical attention for the knee, which turns out to only be just sprained and should be ready to go for Brawltoberfest.  

It's main event time, and Real World Jeremy comes out as the special guest ring announcer and Jason Devall as bell ringer.  

NMW Heavyweight Championship
(c)Scotty Cash 5'9" 210lbs. "Yo Mammas House" vs. "Alpha Male" Guy Smith (22-12) 6'0" 250lbs. Rapid City, SD w/ Majorie "Witchy" Watson - Cash has bulked up to 210?  No way.  RWJ calls for the bell.  James Welden is your referee.  Lockup to the corner Guy, lockup to the corner Cash.  Guy slaps him.  Test of strength but Cash stomps the hand.  Cash atomic drop, whip clothesline and Guy bails.  Cash gets an armbar over the top rope.  Guy runs off, Cash chases, gets an armbar around the post.  Shoulderblock Smith, slam, whip clothesline gets two.  Ram in the corner Cash, armbar, legdrop gets two.  Cash slaps Witchy's hand away from the ropes, rake by Guy.  Hard whip to the corner crash, Smith gets two.  Guy tries a bodyslam, its countered for two.  Elbow Guy gets two.  Choke by Smith, whip sunset flip Cash gets two.  Clothesline Guy, small package Cash gets two.  Guy chokes away on the bottom rope, whip Cash armtrap rollup gets two.  Smith whip elbow gets two.  Smith chokes away, whip Cash gets a crossarm breaker.  Guy stands up with it to get a pin combo for two, he tries to slam him down but Cash keeps the hold.  Witchy up, Cash goes after her, Smith with a KO punch, death valley driver gets two.  Rear chinlock Guy, Cash elbows out, spinebuster Guy gets two.  Smith slugs away, whip Thesz Press Cash, he slugs away then gets two.  Smith side suplex, whip reverse clothesline Smith gets two.  Smith sets Cash up for something, but KICK WHAM STUNNER CASH!  Cash boots Smith outside, Cash follows and teases using the bent up trash can but goes back in.  Cash whip reverse Smith charges but eats a boot, clothesline from the second rope gets two.  Cash whip flapjack gets two.  Back body drop Smith, LITTLE INSPIRATION Smith gets two!  Smith goes for it again, and hits a sloppy second Little Inspiration for another two count.  LOW BLOW CASH, fisherman's buster gets one.  Witchy on the apron, RWJ pulls her down.  4GQ is out here arguing with Jeremy.  Devall is nailed in the back of the head, Jason Wells, Rian Cruz, Danger Doug, the frat boys attack 4GQ, Guy Smith has the belt and nails Cash with it, right in the line of sight of Welden, he counts the fall anyway, WHAT???

WINNER and NEW CHAMP: "Alpha Male" Guy Smith pin -> (23-12) 19 mins. ****

Welden claims he didn't see the beltshot, fight on the floor continues all the way to the back.  Danger Doug spears LPC on the floor!  RWJ argues with James Welden, Smith nails Devall with the belt.  RWJ grabs Smith, KICK WHAM PEDIGREE!  Cash has a chair to keep everyone else away, but he's hurting.  Devall with a kip-up.  Jimmy finally finds the mike and announces the winner.  The show is over.  I didn't see that title change coming at all, surprise, surprise.  Great match though, the second little inspiration being the only blemish.

The Verdict:  Wow, the heels won almost every match except for the CI Title defense, when's the last time that happened?  The entire show took two and a half hours this month, thus no time limits needed.  Almost everything was decent enough, overall a better show than last month with the main event being the standout so it's thumbs leaning up.

Next show is Brawltoberfest, there will be a 30-man Royal Rumble, and it's Khaos Kidd defending against Justin MacIntyre thus far. More to come.
