Live from the Warehouse. Your ring announcer is Jimmy "The
Bruiser" Osbourne. Total attendance for this evening was
345. This event ran four hours and five minutes. After the
show, some of us went out to Break Time...and wow, I got to witness a
bar fight.
Hardcore KC (5-11) vs. "The Man" Matt Boston (7-11-0-1) w/ Twist - Well
Twist is supposed to be handcuffed to the ring post cause he keeps
interfering in matches. It appears they got him cuffed to the
post. KC jumps Boston and the match is on! KC with a
clothesline, hip toss, armdrag, back body drop and Matt is running for
his life! Boston stalls and KC chases, and Twist hits KC with a
clothesline! Hey he's OUTTA THE CUFFS! Does he got a second
key on him?? Ref makes sure he's locked up again as Matt puts KC
in the ring, KC reverses the whip and clotheslines him down and rams
him in all four corners. Suplex KC gets two. Legdrop gets
two. Matt rakes, pounds away, suplex gets two. An ugly
looking whip and KC headbutts Boston in the chest, KC with an uppercut,
clothesline for two. Slugfest, Boston reverses the whip and the
ref gets run over. KC with the Hard Way, ref won't revive, Boston
with a LOW BLOW and DDT. Boston outside, he gets some bolt
cutters! He frees Twist, and goes after KC. Twist with the
whip, he misses his attack, KC clotheslines him, and has an ankle
lock! Matt axes hiim, whip to the corner, Matt charges but hits
the post! KC with an ankle lock! Ref is slowly getting
up. Matt manages to flip over and get out. Matt with a
wheelbarrow attempt blocked, ANKLE LOCK! Matt tries to escape but
gets pulled back in the middle and he finally gives it up. Decent
opener. KC gets a badly needed victory, open question if he can
get a streak going.
WINNER: Hardcore KC submission -> (6-11) 10 mins. **½
Man vs. Woman
Rian Cruz (2-3-0-1) vs. Bing Westlake (3-6) - Well Bing Westlake,
aka President Jason Devall hasn't wrestled since July 2003, due to a
torn ACL in one of his legs suffered in a match against Dredd
Walker. His comeback may not last very long as Rian goes after
him in the aisle and throws him repeatedly into the ring
barriers! She drags him back to the ring and throws him into the
post! She puts him in and Rian hits a clothesline for two
twice. KO punches by Rian get two. Hip toss gets two.
Crossbody attempt by Rian is dodged, Bing with a choke, pounds her on
the rope, and runs and sits on her! Bing goes for the Fameasser
but misses it! Rian with a stunner gets only two...no way!
Clothesline from the top rope by Rian and Bing runs for it. Bing
has a golf club and whacks her from the floor! Bing's in, tries
to hit her again but Ricky takes it away. Bing gets in Ricky's
face and threatens him, Ricky shoves him away, rollup Rian and that
gets the pin! Bing shocked, slowly applauds Rian's victory.
Only match of the night to go under ten minutes.
WINNER: Rian Cruz pin -> (3-3-0-1) 4:20 mins. **
And look what's pulling into the arena, it's a 45 foot stretch
limo! Jackie Sazerak is ranting on the mike, man it's so noisy in
here I can't hear him. Anyway, he introduces his surprise partner
for EZ Money, it's the Khaos Kidd with his own million dollar belt!
Jason Wells (6-9-1), Eagle Scout (1-2), "The Wrangler" Eric Ruffington
(2-7) vs. GAW Tag Champ Tricky Dick Moore (10-10-0-1), CWA Tag Champ
Prime Time Playa (4-4), and "The Million Dollar" Khaos Kidd (6-10) -
Yep, PTP has a tag belt from another state, which I'll get to
later. Once Kidd takes off the jacket, he looks like the old
Steven Bishop. The underdog team clears the ring and Jackie wield
the golf club left behind from earlier to defend himself. Wells
is arguing with Kidd. Looks like Tricky Dick and Eric Ruffington
are gonna start things here, but Tricky is stalling. Lockup,
headlock Trick, clothesline Ruff. Tag Scout, who hits a crossbody
for two. Everyone's in the ring and paired off, faces triple
whip, triple collision, Tricky is tossed and the other two bail.
Scout and Tricky in, the crowd wants him to grab the chest hair.
Heh. Lockup, armbar by Scout, whip dropkick gets two.
Suplex Scout gets two. Tag Wells who pounds him on the back, whip
to the corner, charges, SPLASH! PTP gets clotheslined, Wells
sideslam on Tricky for one. Wells nails Kidd, tag Ruff...suplex
gets two. Tag ES, Tricky clotheslines HIM and pounds him
down. Tag PTP, Wells is running after Jackie, PTP catches a boot,
ES flips and hits a clothesline. PTP hits something like an F5
and tags Kidd. Kidd clothesline and works the knee. Reverse
DDT Kidd gets two and all the heels kick ES. Second rope splash
on ES by PTP. Tag Tricky, whip side slam gets two. DDT
Tricky, three elbows gets two. Tag Kidd, double whip double
clothesline, reverse standing bulldog gets two. ES tries to flip
out but Kidd hits the Khaos Effect for two. Scout hits a
jawbreaker, tags are made to Moore and Wells! Wells hits
spinebusters, Jackie on the apron. PTP gets knocked over the
top. Wells grabs Jackie. Jackie has something in his
hand...he throws it but hits Kidd in the face! Whoops.
Wells puts Tricky into Kidd and Kidd locks in the Million Dollar
Dream! Ruff rams PTP into the rail. Wells whiplash on Kidd,
covers Tricky and gets the pin. Exciting six-man tag this was,
didn't expect this outcome either.
WINNERS: Jason Wells, Eric Ruffington, Eagle Scout pin -> 14:40 mins. ***½
Ruff chairshots Jackie! Wells headbutts Jackie! The faces
depart, Prime Time Playa gets angry and attacks Tricky Dick
Moore. He complains about Tricky making him look bad, doesn't
need him and doesn't want to see him again. Jackie decides to
kick Moore! Jackie isn't too happy about this turn of
events. And thus it all comes back into alignment.
Unfortunately, despite the turning on his partner we are never gonna
see Prime Time vs. Tricky Dick, as he has moved to the Carolinas, to be
now known as Bobby Houston and holds half the Carolina Wrestling
Association tag titles. I don't know why, but we also never got
the match of The Dean's List vs. EZ Money, even though EZ Money was one
of the few established tag teams going in NMW. They just stuck
them in six-man tags. Just one of the big matches of the year
that should've happened but didn't. And I don't get why the tag
titles would idle for four months.
Hardcore Match - Last Man Standing
Eric Logan (14-14-2) vs. Lucious P. Cotrain (11-14-2) - Hardcore
rules are in effect, first one to score a knockout is the winner.
LPC comes in listening to an iPod. Logan hits a flying elbow,
knee to the back and locks in a stranglehold. Whip to the corner
and LPC crashes to the mat and rolls out, E-Lo charges to the top rope
and DIVES on him to the floor! E-Lo puts him in, standing
dropkick, but misses the moonsault senton from the top. LPC
punches him in the gut, suplex, shoulderblock, throws him in the corner
and hits a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. And here come the
weapons! Trash can is fetched, LPC pulls E-Lo out and canshots
him! E-Lo has a lid...LIDSHOT on LPC! E-Lo stuffs the can
on LPC and drums the can before kicking it. And E-Lo walks all
over him! Lidshot E-Lo and he fetches himself a ladder! LPC
hits him though, and canshots him! Ladder in the corner, LPC
whips, but gets thrown into the ladder! E-Lo climbs up, and hits
a diving stomp. LPC rams E-Lo into the ladder and
trayshots! Spinebuster LPC, and the ref counts to 7. LPC
gets the BUMP sign and sets up the sign and chairs. Canshot LPC,
back body drop into the BUMP! Chairshot LPC....ref gets to
five. LPC fetches a table, kick attempt is caught, spinebuster is
reversed into a crossarm breaker by E-Lo! LPC is up at 8.
Logan tries to bulldog LPC thru the table but LPC caught his arm on the
side of the table possibly injuring himself. The table legs are
bent up funny. LPC is bleeding, how'd he get cut up? E-Lo
drops the ladder on LPC, goes up, elbow off the top on the back.
LPC blocks a move, hits a DDT. LPC tries to use the table but
just kicks the thing in half and gets rid of it. Dueling chants
are ringing. LPC with a slam, but Logan hits KICK WHAM
STUNNER! LPC gets up at 8. Whip to the ropes and they crack
their heads together. Whoops. Logan with an enzuigiri, and
they get up at 8. Whip Logan splash in the corner misses, LPC
gets knocked down when he tries to suplex him off the ropes, but Logan
moonsaults right into a STUNNER and Logan is counted out!
WINNER: Lucious P. Cotrain KO -> (12-14-2) 21:20 mins. ***½
Logan's mad about losing, LPC offers him his bottle of water.
Oh it's debate time, cause Majorie "Witchy" Watson is here! Crowd
mocks her, I guess there's some who remember HER stint as
president. PHD comes out first. Jimmy speaks first, as
president, he's not gonna allow cheating to go unpunished, he's had 35
years experience in the wrestling business. Crowd is so loud I
can hardly hear him. PHD now speaks, he says the only reason why
Jimmy wants to be president is because he's a gimp...or
something. Jimmy picks up a chair and bashes him with it!
Debate over. Crowd goes wild and clamours for Bruiser to be
president. MOAV calls him a coward for hitting him from behind.
Justin MacIntyre (5-9-0-1) vs. Stan Sallinger (6-10) w/ Stephani King -
Well Stan can't run anymore! J-Mac pounds away, uppercut, kicks
and rubs his privates in Stan's face. Ewwwww. JMac misses
the clothesline and just drops in front of Stan repeatedly as he runs
the ropes until he runs outta gas. J-Mac throws his shirt to the
crowd while Stan powders outside. Stan climbs over the rope but
J-Mac kicks it to crotch him. J-Mac gives him a few headbutts,
but flops down in a daze. JMac staggles up, whips him to the
corner and hits the clothesline. Stan tosses him however and his
leg gets tied up in the ropes...uh oh. Stan stomps the leg, works
it around the post and against the ring. Stan with the Boston
Crab, switches to a leg scissors. Stan goes up top, splash
MISSES. J-Mac with a figure four, Stan turns it to escape.
Stan with a clip, JMac with a double chop, clothesline,
neckbreaker. Stephani King jumps in with a turnbuckle rod and
NAILS J-Mac in the back of the leg with it! Stan covers and gets
three. ARRGH! How lowdown and dirty can you get?
J-Mac has been robbed again. Turns out this has been the best
match Stan has had in a long time, but I didn't expect him to win at
all.

NMW Tag Team Championship
The Dean's List (4-0-0-1) - Sage Ramsey (18-15) & Billy Morgan
(16-13) w/ PHD vs. Heavy Artillery (debut) - Tank Roberts (1-2) &
Danger Doug Fraze (7-12-1) - This is the first time the tag titles have
been defended in FOUR MONTHS. I just cannot believe how neglected
the tag division has gotten this year. Fraze and Morgan
start. Fraze with a shovedown, tag Tank. Tank with
shoulderblocks, tag Sage. Lockup, Sage pounds away but Tank
clotheslines him. Tag Fraze, lockup to the corner, Sage pounds
and headbutts, but hurts his own head. Tag Billy, he goes for the
rope burn. Doug clotheslines him in the corner for two.
Slam, legdrop gets two. Tag Tank, suplex, splash gets two.
Tag Fraze, double team backbreaker elbow combo. Morgan with a
poke and tags Sage in. Neckbreaker gets two. Sage sideslam,
slingshot legdrop from Morgan gets two. Billy with a choke, ram
to the corner, shoulderblocks, but Fraze with the SPEAR! Double
tags. Clotheslines Tank, slam gets two. Full nelson slam
Tank, PHD jumps on the apron and tosses the cane in. Morgan with
a caneshot on Tank for two. Tag Morgan, double side suplex gets
two. Morgan drops the elbows, rollup Tank gets two, dropkick
Morgan gets two. The Deans work Tank over, Sage in,
shoulderblocks to the back, spinebuster gets two. Tag Morgan,
choke on the rope, he tries the running sit on the back but Tank moves
and he crotches himself! Tank clothesline, Sage tags in, elbow,
slam, legdrop gets two. Whip, Sage and Tank try to BOOT each
other in the face and they're both down! Tags, Fraze clotheslines
the Deans List, Fraze back bodydrop gets two. Fraze double
chokeslam gets two. Sage in, they slug it out, Danger goes for
the powerbomb but it's broken up. Double whip side slam Sage,
Morgan flying elbow gets two. Tank goes after Sage on the floor,
Fraze attempts a move but it's blocked, superkick Morgan gets
two. Tank hits the Lock&Load on Morgan, Sage chokeslams Tank,
Fraze drapes an arm on Morgan for two. Tank Roberts gives Sage a
piledriver, Morgan is powerbombed onto Sage by Danger, cover gets three
and the titles! Wild match.

Well you knew Sage & Morgan had to ditch the belts cause they both
want to do singles a lot more than tag team wrestling. PHD looks
at this tag team yelling and screaming at them saying he's gonna be
president and you're gonna listen to him. The Dean's List walk
off. The new champs clobber him, and we chant POWERBOMB.
Danger says he has something better in mind. Danger goes out and
fetches SCISSORS! They proceed to cut off his long
ponytail! Well PHD is not having a good evening.
Triple Threat Match
"Spotlight" Spencer Powers (22-15) w/ Cherry Malone vs. CWA
Intercontinental Champ "Mr. Elite" Jake Manning (4-6-0-1) w/ Rian Cruz
vs. "The Heavy Heavy Forever Man with Guns Reverend Alpha Male" Guy
Smith 10-32 (30-19) w/ RON - Yep, Elite has been in the Carolinas a few
months and is wearing gold already. Elite clothesline on Smith,
SSP after Elite, Elite kicks him in the corner. Smith pounds
Elite, whip clothesline. SSP hits Smith from behind, and rams him
into the turnbuckle. Elite with a chop on SSP, whip elbow.
Smith kicks Elite in the head, Cherry and RON argue. Smith suplex
on Elite, elbow. SSP clotheslines Smith, choke, whip running
bulldog gets one. Elite breaks it up, shot to the back, into the
corner shoulerblocks. Smith has a bloody nose. Elite nails
Powers, suplex into the top rope. Off the ropes, dropkick
into the STEEL goes Smith! Elite whips Powers into the corner and
he goes sailing. Smith pounds Elite, side powerbomb Smith gets
two. Smith pickup, suplex attempt blocked, forward suplex!
SSP dropkick on Elite's back. He kicks away, SSP and Smith double
whip double clothesline. Cherry hands SSP a chain. RON
handed Smith a chain, they chainshot each other out! Elite gets a
cover on SSP, Smith nails the referee with the BOOK! WTF?
Chokehold with the chain, SSP trips him up, double legdrop in the
groin. SSP chokes Elite. Cherry wants to join in. SSP
chokes Smith, Cherry wipes her hands on RON's robe. SSP and Smith
into the corner, SSP gets the ab stretch on Elite! Smith with a
clawhold on SSP, Cherry jumps in, RON jumps in. Cherry tries to
pull Smith off, Elite hip tosses SSP into Smith. RON powder shots
Elite! Rian Cruz runs in and gives a stepover DDT to RON!
But SSP gives Rian an Unprettier! Smith facebuster on SSP, Cherry
tries to lowblow Smith but he gives her the Little Inspiration!
BOOOOO!!! Poor Cherry. Elite side slam gets two. Cruz
is beating on Cherry on the floor. SSP with a Juvi Driver on
Elite. Belly to belly slam on Smith by SSP gets two. Elite
is up, hits his finisher on Smith a version of the rock bottom for
two. SSP spinebusters Elite for two. Cherry and RON have
been handcuffed together! DVD Smith on SSP! He waits on
Elite, but gets disposed of by SSP. RON and Cherry in a tugawar,
Cruz attacks them some more. SSP hits the Unprettier on Elite and
gets the pin! Hmmm...I would had thought Elite would had ended
his NMW run with a victory. He doesn't make a farewell speech
afterward though. RON tries to drag Cherry away but she doesn't
want to go with him. The boltcutters are fetched to cut the cuffs.

Hardcore Match
The Uninvited (1-0) - Rip Mystic (15-9) & Tom Arson (15-11) vs.
The Hot Boyz (1-1) - Scotty Cash (12-14-1) & Benz (3-2-0-1) -
Everyone's in and pounding away until the Hot Boyz bail. Arson
& Cash start, Arson pounds him out. Rip and Benz are in a
slugfest, press slam Benz gets two. Handspring back splash by
Rip, BOOT Arson. The lids are put in, ROCK BOTTOM Cash on the lid
gets two. Benz low blows Arson. Mystic ROCK BOTTOM on
Cash! He wants Ricky to do the People's Elbow! He hits it
and covers but Rip pulls him off at two saying he's his job. Benz
lidshots Arson! A bag of chips is fetched, Benz stops
Mystic. Arson clotheslines Benz down. Cash is dumped
out. Another bag of Doritos is fetched, they wait for Benz to
stand....CHIP SHOT and chips go EVERYWHERE! Cash breaks up a
cover with a lidshot! Splash gets one, there's chips all over the
ring! Whip clothesline, Arson LIDS Benz on the floor. Choke
with the chip bag of all things. Mystic goes after stuff on the
floor. More lids...BOOM! Benz apron slam, Cash hits DO NOT
ENTER on Arson! Sign splash by Cash on Arson! Benz and
Mystic hit each other with lids! Arson is bleeding, how'd that
happen? Snapmare by Rip, dropkick to the back. The ladder
is inserted, the sign is put in. Russian leg sweep on the sign
and Arson gets dumped out. Cash has the ladder, puts it in the
corner. Benz signshot! Cash gets thrown into the ladder off
the reversed whip! Cash is dumped out. Arson picks up Benz,
whip reverse Arson goes into the ladder! Benz drops the ladder on
Arson, Mystic comes back in, Cash with a slingshot senton on the
ladder! Benz drops an elbow against the ladder but hurts
himself. Mystic is up and breaks up a cover on Arson.
Mystic rams the ladder into the gut of Cash. Mystic suplex Cash
onto the ladder! Arson slams Benz, canshot to the gut.
Ladder is put on Benz's belly, Arson with a senton on the ladder!
Cash with DO NOT ENTER on Arson! Cash with an impaler DDT on
Mystic for two. Mystic DO NOT ENTER'ed Cash! DO NOT ENTER
on Benz! Mystic hits the IMPALER DDT on the sign for two!
NO WAY! That put out Cash for a few months the last time!
Arson throws Benz into the post. Cash spinebuster on Mystic for
two. Arson chairs Benz. Cash drops the ladder on Mystic,
kick the to groin. Benz chairshot on Arson! Benz and Arson
in, Benz slam on the sign. Cash nails Rip with the chair.
Benz slams Mystic. Hot Boyz up, ladder dropped on the Uninvited,
Scotty hits a senton on the ladder! Benz covers Arson for
two. Sixteen minute mark. Benz pounds on Mystic, choke in
the corner. Cash tries for a suplex but Arson slams him on the
ladder instead! Mystic with an enzuigiri on Benz and he's
bleeding a little bit. Cash is tossed, Arson gets two on
Benz. Mystic is moving the stairs around, Arson tries the
crossface on someone. Mystic sets up a ladder. Benz hits a
neckbreaker. Mystic puts Cash on a table. Mystic hops the
rail...he's rolling a tall staircase over! Benz intercepts
however, Benz rams him into the stairs. 20 minutes. Benz
dumps Rip over the rail, Cash lidshots Arson. Cash gets his own
set of stairs! Benz puts Rip on the table, Cash goes up the
stairs that's taller than the other one! He can't! He's
insane! He jumps! Cash crashes into Mystic and through the
table! Arson with a chairshot on Benz! Benz is tossed in,
Cash just gets up. Chairshot on Benz by Arson! Arson puts
the chair on the top rope, moonsault with the chair on Benz!
Arson covers for JUST two. CHAIRSHOT on Arson by Cash! Cash
points upward, he goes to the top rope! Rip Mystic with GREEN
SPEW! Arson and Mystic, chair put on Benz, Mystic on the top
rope, does a flying STOMP and cover gets three! Man these guys
are insane, if it turns out Scotty Cash won't be wrestling again, he'll
be remembered for this wild brawl for a long time.

NMW Heavyweight Championship
(c)"The Marvel" Shane Matthews (7-4) vs. Central IL Champ Michael
Shard (22-14) - Ironically Shane Matthews NMW debut came up against
Michael Shard, and Shard won. Lockup and they hit the mat
wrestling. Shoulderblock Shane, he pounds away and whips Shard
into the ropes who hits his own shoulderblock. Waistlock Shard,
takedown. They wrestle on the mat, Shard goes for the Cutting
Edge sickle already and Shane scoots outta there. Shane back in,
whip clothesline, hip toss attempt is blocked, turned into a rollup for
two. The crowd is most definately split down the middle. So
they try a strength test, Shane pushes him down for two, Shard powers
up and rolls him into an armbar into a crossarm breaker into the
ropes. Shane with an armdrag but Shard holds on and takes Shane
down. Shard with an armbar takedown into a submission hold.
Hammerlock behind the head by Shard, Shane runs to the ropes and Shard
flies out. Shard pulls Marvel out, apron ram, whip to the
rail. But Shard gets slammed on the floor, toss in gets
two. Shane suplex gets two. Shane lands elbows, does a form
of a sitting ab stretch, but Shard throws him off. Shard tries a
whip but gets reversed hard into the corner for one. Shane hits a
backbreaker and stretch, cover gets two. Headlock Matthews,
shoveoff, Shane charges and Shard backdrops him over the top!
Shard goes up, Shane goes up after him but gets knocked down, crossbody
to the FLOOR goes Shard! Shane is up though, whips Shard into the
rail, toss in, slingshot elbow gets two. Shane tries something
unique, traps the legs against his gut and pulls his head backward, but
it turns into a rear chinlock. Shard powers out, Shard hits a
knee, BRAINBUSTER Shard! Shard puts him in the tree of woe,
baseball slide attempt misses. Shane up, Shard comes up to hit
him, but Shane hits a tornado DDT on the APRON! Yikes! Asai
moonsault Shane, push in, Shane gets...TWO! Shane goes up, Shard
climbs up after him and hits a superplex for two! Shane with the
Angle Slam...for two! Man, we're at the 20 minute mark now.
Shane puts Shard on the top rope, then side suplexes him off
for...another two! Slugfest ensues, Shard takes him down and
locks in the Cutting Edge! But Shane gets the rope. Shard
with a slam, drops a punch from the top rope, goes up again, but Shane
Angle Slams him from the top rope! And THAT doesn't put him
away! Back neckbreaker by Shane, he goes up...moonsault
MISSES! Shard tries a sleeper hold, Shane rams him in corners but
Shard holds on, two raises and Shane fights up. Shootoff, double
clotheslines and it's a near DOUBLE pin. If this ended in a draw
I'd be mad. They're up, slugfest, clothesline Shane, fireman's
carry slam, clothesline gets two. So he tries an Asai DDT...but
THAT doesn't finish him. Try tying someone up in a small package,
no it ain't an insult it's reality! Shane on top, flying
elbow...gets TWO. Shard, KICK WHAM DDT gets two! Shard
tries a suplex variant...for two. Shane with a BOOT, but Shard
hits a flatliner. Shard tries the cutting edge again, but Shane
turns it into a form of a small package and that finally ends it!
Well they kept hitting finishers on each other and man, that wore me
out. Match of the year candidate for NMW and I'm all outta stars.
WINNER and STILL CHAMP: "The Marvel" Shane Matthews pin -> (8-4) 30:35 mins. *****
The Verdict: Holy crap, I've handed out more stars than I ever
thought I'd hand out. Four matches that hit four stars, a couple
others hit three and a half. Easily the best show NMW has done
all year that won't be outdone for a very long time. This was
also the longest regular show they've ever done too, and kept it
interesting the entire four hours. DVD purchase recommended.
Thumbs WAY WAY Up.
